Synopsis:
A frantic call for help from a remote research station on Mars sends a team of mercenary Marines into action. Honestly, I have watched my brothers play this game so many times... didn't mind actually having some 3rd person movie scenes explaining the origins of the game lore. But yeah, this was definitely my favorite scene as well. Just don't think a whole movie of it would have worked.

The First Person Sequence always reminded me a lot of DOOM 64 and 3 (2004) with the more darker, menacing, and grim tone of the setting compared to DOOM (1993) and Hell On Earth (1994). It’s practically a guilty pleasure for me regardless of how mediocre and poorly adapted the rest of the film was but this is legit my favorite scene in the entire movie, the HellKnight and Pinky was ripped straight out of the game (DOOM 3) and it looked amazing in live action.

A lot of people seem to have reevaluated this film in the wake of DOOM Annihilation. TBH, though it was a poor adaptation given the whole lack of Hell, it was still a fairly solid action/horror film. And, TBH, if they ever did a sequel, they COULD work Hell in. Just say something like "that addon chromosome was a trap laid by Hell that backfired when it enhanced certain people instead of corrupting them".

Most people that crapped on this movie couldn't mention a single rational thing to complain about, it was never supposed to be a carbon copy of the games. - The plot was ok, it wasn't bad, mfs got mad it wasn't about demons specifically. - Characters were fire - Most scenes where we got to see the creatures were amazing, specially the FPS one and the one with the dude fighting the hell knight. - Art direction slapped f-ing hard, they got hella inspitation from the dark steel corridors of Doom 3 and was done with love.

Why did Dwayne not want to die? Isn’t that his whole character? He killed the survivors who might be infected but not him self who is clearly infected. Cool fight scene. You by itself, it’s not a bad movie
