So i suspected this wasn't Mick, and i had to check because it felt very different, nice to know the name of this legend (from the comments), because he did an excellent job here, the atmosphere is great, and it fits very well with Doom Eternal, plus it feels nice to have different tracks for the DLCs, makes it feel more of new experience.
I loved that the expansions ended up with a bit of a unique sound compared to the base game. Shame what happened, but Andrew Hulshult and crew did an awesome job with this!
I know a lot of people like the heavy stuff in particular but UAC Atlantica's Light bgm is just.. It gives off that impending difficulty that's ahead of you.
@@The4thConsul If I were to give the graphics a school rating, I'd probably give it a B-, C+; they're not great but its mainly the hardware limitations and probably some personal settings. Aside from that, Doom Eternal runs almost like any other console-based Doom which is mainly the whole point of buying and playing the game.
@@The4thConsul The switch is pretty shit in comparison to most other consoles but at the end of the day its still pretty good. If the Switch had released around when the Wii U did, it would be around that standard for that time.
Andrew Hulshult' is great, but there was some production issues in the development of ancient gods so mixing and sound balance was wrong. You fixed it! thank you!
generally i prefer heavy combat themes in doom but somehow ... blood swamps light does somethin for me, something special. Heavy is more energetic and well, heavy... but light feels 10x darker
57:20 - 57:36 (don't click, listen whole the light holt mix, waiting for moment is pleasure, maybe bigger) at this day of my life exactly this part for me better than sex, before it was UAC light mix. Whatever I was passed one of blood swamps battle with two tyrants and spirit on nightmare when just turn on UAC fckng light. Mick Gordon was good, but those guys are same, maybe, sorry devil, better. One thing, that was a part of light UAC mix non presented here, I was heard it only ingame. Sad, but I still waiting official OST for this
I think sometime's Mick Gordon's music is slightly more catchy and unique, but I still like the other guy's music just as much, I also like how sometimes (specifically in the holt) it's a bit more electronic
The Trial of Maligog has synths and pads at 40:07 that are reminiscent of the sound track for Bladerunner: 2049. They really add to the world building in their depth and suspenseful, dreadful timbre.
I also have a question about the files. Were the music files edited or changed in any way or is it presented here as it is, straight from the game files itself? Just asking out of curiosity, and to clarify what you said in the description
@@samanthacino Ohhhhhh, so more or you tried to combine them in the video in almost the same way the game itself combines them? That's awesome. But I still wonder, why did the devs had to make hundreds of snippets of music files if they can just leave it as a singular file?
@@samanthacino Ahhhh, gotcha. In short, the game has no actual default arrangement for the files, and just plays them as long as you are in combat or ambient. So that also means in short, that there's no official version of the music, at least for Doom Eternal (Since Mick Gordon released the original soundtrack for Doom 2016)
the new composer is even better than Mick Gordon in some ways, for example, in music during a tough battle in the Atlantic), she is more dynamic and aggressive. I think that the hatred of Andrew Hulshult's music is unfounded and is caused only by the fact that he is not Mick Gordon. I just didn't like the music in the "holt" chapter, it really sucks ...
Order based on how much I like this OST: 1. UAC Atlantica (it just slaps) 2. Blood Swamps (pretty good) 3. Trial of Maligog (It's fine) 4. Holt (I like the ambient but the rest not that much) 5. Samur Fight (sounds like dubstep to me)
