@Desperate Dolphin Halo CE = Doom 2016 Halo 2 = Doom Eternal + TAG 1 Halo 3 = TAG 2 1. Badass wakes up, kicks enemies ass while being lead by an AI. Later finds ancient relic that causes mass destruction to multiple worlds, so they take it and destroys what the enemy holds as their main power. 2. Badass comes back to Earth with big armor upgrades. Enemy invades Earth and the protagonists can now be able to hold energy based swords TO KILL THREE PROPHETS. Then later goes on a quest from an ancient source to get a key to end the war. Then ends on a cliffhanger. 3. Enemy escapes to powerful locations while badass rally's up allies to end the war with expected and unexpected allies. Badass then destroys the main source of the enemy with the galaxy finally safe from the evil and the badass is put to sleep until needed for grand emergencies. Coincidence? I think NOT!!!
Doomguy 2016: I wake Doomslayer 2021: I sleep Edit: Good thing Hugo Martin said that this isn't the end of the franchise or the Slayer. He hinted that in future installments we could be fighting Lovecraftean creatures since as he put it "without the father the Maykrs will go through the transfiguration and become Cathulu-like cataclysmic beings" so don't lose hope. He also said that even though Doom is about hell they want to expand the Doomiverse beyond and even further.
there's actually a lot of guitar in there. just mixed to sound like a synth. Its just riffing the whole time never does any lead. Its there. just gotta listen for it.
@@Eric_Nomad_Hixtone Мысль твою понял.
"hello? are you still here? great! i have a message from Mary, Hugo and all the hard working devs at ID Software, thanks for playing! hell wouldnt be the same without you!" - Intern
Me finishing the entirety of Doom Eternal felt like the end of an era. Especially after playing through Amid Evil, Dusk and Ion Fury and watching Doom Eternal's trailers in anticipation for it. With all that over with, I have to wonder, where do we go from here?
So now that Doom (for the time being) is over, do you guys think they’ll bring back Quake? I know Quake Champions came out not too long ago but I’m talking more like single player.
Out of all the DLC I’ve bought for any game, this one (both TAG1 and 2) was/is the best. DOOM really put a mark on me (haha get it) as one of my favorite games ever! #RIPANDTEAR
Hey yo you're missing a song bro where in the hell is the fucking song when you fight the dark lord Satan himself Lucifer Diablo where is the song when you fight the dark lord no harm in asking
I mean I like all the dlc music but this legit sounds like they said "ok go make The Only Thing They Fear is You again but make it sound like a knock off"
This is likely to be the very end of the DOOM series. But if we do get more games down the line, I can't wait to read tablets about the ancient battle between one man and an entire realm. And you hear ancient voices chant "rip and tear" once more.
Doomguy:"I'm really fucking tired right now, could you guys just wake me when the Sequel hits?" Maykrs:**Seal him away in the coffin** Doomguy:"I'm still alive, but ok..." >:(
@@aguywhodoesntexist they weren’t corrupted I don’t think since they’re from the Ingmore Sanctum and basically guarded the life spheres and resurrection chamber
@@sekiko7183 Doomslayer never had normal human strength. Even as a "human" he destroyed the spider mastermind, the icon of sin and the mother demon and survived hell itself during the events of the old Dooms. But I don't think h lost his divine powers bc if that was the real thing then there would be no reason to lock him in the sarcophagus again. The Doomslayer is the remaining power of the creator in the universe, the true God.
Edit: I really need to delete this message because of all the idiots in the comments section going "DOOM ISN'T AKTUALLY OVER." I'm aware it's not over, you actual apes. I'm sick of hearing this same thing over and over again. I'm going insane. I mean no disrespect to anyone who was actually decent enough not to whine in this comment string. 28 years... All leading up to this moment... Goodbye, DOOM. You truly were the best there ever was and ever will be.
I think there might be more dlc because they said there was going to be multiple dlc opportunities, so maybe you play as a human doom slayer, because your power has been removed?
@@conner4385 actually many people want a spin-off were you play as a survivor and it was even talked about as being a possible expansion.though i could just be remembering wrong. Please correct me!
This theme only got me thinking every moment, encounter and boss battle in every doom game that came out, man what a ride! Countless hours of entertainment, joy and fun, even in the best and worst moments of my life, the lovely community behind it, the endless mods, this saga will stand as one of the best games ever, and it will live in every doom fans heart. Thanks a lot iD software
Kinda wish this music played during a final arena where they throw like 3 waves of enemies at you as the dark Lord watches you battle , and then you fight him.
@@axetheviking6482 It kind of is though. Think of it like this: Doomguy was always meant to be US, the players. We, the players, are not invested in a dead family that was added to the story at the eleventh hour (nearly three decades into the series' run, on the fifth title in the main continuity). We don't care about a boring, cliché origin story that's been done a thousand times before, and was shoehorned - haphazardly and with no context or in-game explanation - into a series that already had a widely loved origin story, undermining what was already there. And since we are Doomguy, Doomguy doesn't care either. We killed the capital-G God of Creation to avenge Daisy, not a family whose names we don't even know, and of whom we've never heard until now. Honestly, the family was the biggest of Hugo's very few missteps with the IP.
"Yet even as the Doom Slayer revels in the spoils of his war, another shall rise from the fires: a dark priest consumed by the Crucible. And even the Doom Slayer shall weep in his shadow."
the thing about doom is: the slayer will be as powerful as the narrative needs him to be for him to win. thats what makes doom guy doom guy he is infinitely powerful. kinda fcking hardcore man
Sat through the entire credits to listen to all of this absolute banger, just masterful riffing off of Doom Eternal's music themes. Great synthesis of Gordon's previous music with the style of Hulshult of Levy. I was really happy to hear more electronic elements in this DLC's music, that's more on-brand than the music was for DLC 1 imo, although that was also fantastic.
Normally I skip the credits, but when as soon as I heard the beginning of these I knew it was going to be the best credits I’ve ever watched in my life. And I was right.
It envokes a feeling of triumph. It's unlike, say, Cultist Base, which makes you feel pumped up and ready to bash someone's head in. This is after the battle, where you walk from the piles of dead demons back home. It's over, and that's why it makes us both sad; The time for ripping and tearing has come to an end. *For now.*
It’s the end man. He finally did it. He exterminated all the demons outside of hell. He defeated Olivia pierce, the spider mastermind. He got the demonic crucible. He got revenge for the demons killing his rabbit. He killed the icon of sin. An old enemy. He put a stop to the corrupt khan maykr. He resurrected the dark lord. He avenged his brothers in war. He helped free the betrayers son from his suffering. He put a stop to the hell priests. *And he killed the Dark Lord.* But all things come at a price... *It just happened to be him. This time.*
>wakes up >slaughters thousands of demons >blows a hole in mars >kills an angel, a titan and an acient hell god >refuses to elaborate >goes back to sleep
So I thought about what could the timeline be. It goes like this: Doom (+ Thy Flesh Consumed) -> Doom 2 -> Final Doom -> Doom 64 (+2nd Campaign) -> DoomWADS -> DOOM Eternal (Post-64) -> Doom 3 (As a nightmare, while stuck in the sarcophagus) -> DOOM (2016) -> DOOM Eternal -> The Ancient Gods
You can feel the nostalgia itself in the music that he's not there to protect but he ensured that if I go down I'll take that son of a bitch with me and he did it you can hear the Synth make us feel it's been 27 years he must get some sleep but we all know cuz only he can pull off the jobs we can barely imagine he'll never get a break Because once the mightiest of the sentinel king said "And we will be our own saviour, and our strength will be our shield and our will...our sword. We remain...unbroken...for our fight...is eternal" Anyways my fellow Night Sentinels KAR EN TUK RIP AND TEAR UNTIL IT IS DONE FIGHT LIKE HELL
this is the best game of the Doom series, and probably of the whole Arena Shooter genre too, and they ended it in the best way possible, thanks Hugo and id for making such game possible
I saw a comment saying "a bit sad those big ships with tentacles ain't in the game, still loved the dlc tho" or somewhere along the lines of that. Well good news! They're actually in the game. You can see one behind the dark lord at the cutscenes in the portal section.
