Arikov 2411 It’s actually gonna be a thing. There is a mode being added where you can invade your friend’s campaigns as a demon. It’s called “Invasion”. You can look it up ^^
I love how Doomguy isn't even mean at all at the beginning. He just comes into the facility, walks around, calmly dragging a dude to borrow his pass, and politely took the gun of the security guard.
He literally dragged that poor employee by the neck and didn't even ask permission for the gun. But then again, considering it's Doom Guy then that's the nicest he'll ever be.
The thing about the Doom Slayer is he is not seeing these people or even hearing them what he sees is red keycard which he can use to get through the door to kill demons, then he sees the gun which he can use to kill demons. The people aren't even really there to him cause they are not on his level.
@@praisemidir Considering that he was a marine, he has presumably killed people. I mean I haven't played Eternal yet, so maybe something is revealed there that contradicts this but: i'm pretty sure Doomguy and the Slayer are the same person

The ai literally warns the demons. LITERALLY, THEY MADE A SYSTEM TO WARN THE DEMONS. Imagine being SO terrifying, that even your allies try to warn the enemy.
Later on The guy that doom slayer took the gun from told every on in the bar how doom slayer took his plasma rifle and probably killed thousands of demons with said rifle and that its an honor.
I wonder if weapon Smith corporations make ads like "The Slayer used our weaponry, you could be just as amazing with any of our guns" in that universe/that earth
@@jamvously7170 from what I've heard, the armor that Doom Slayer is wearing have the ability to absorb energy from killing demons. It's the energy that made Doom Slayer become stronger and stronger, so wise decision for the demons to just kill themselves before Doom Slayer could kill them to get the energy.

It wasn't actually for the lols. In this sequel USG is on the side of demons. You can hear one of the NPC scientists complaining how corporate is telling them to let the demons in

I love how he is so scary everyone just looks at him in absolute amazement and at the same time he still cares about humanity enough not to hurt anyone in any way. Not a single word and his whole character just is there for you to amaze in it.
Is this the same song that plays in the final release game or is it a different song? I’ve been searching for the song that plays at this very spot and can’t find it.
Is the running theory that he kills demons to make up for killing the knights? I only just started getting into this stuff, it that seems kinda likely.
There's a bit of a split on his origins. There's a lot of evidence that he's the last Night Sentinel, but some people still think he's the OG Doomguy from DOOM 2
My guess is that when this came out, the game (or at least, this section) didn't have the voice acting done yet, but they needed something for this part done to get the reveal out. They only later replaced it with voice acting that was more consistent throughout the game (facility announcements for example).
@@HAXGGEZ The facility announcements sound better in the final game, but the voicework in the opening scene here is much better in the beta. The voices sound much more desperate and serious. In the final release, they either sound casual or goofy. One of my favorite examples is the marine guard who won't let The Doom-Slayer in. In the beta version, you can subtlely hear the exact moment he realizes he screwed up. In the final version, he just lets out this goofy whine that stablely drops. The beta version sounded much more disciplined, so his slip carried more weight, like he's tough as nails, but The Doom-Slayer can make him crack by simply walking towards him. The retail version sounds very undisciplined, like the anything was going to make him fall apart anyway. The tougher-sounding voice effectively "bowing" to The Doom-Slayer makes The Slayer appear far more impressive than in the final version. This might seem like a minor nitpick, but this is found EVERYWHERE throughout the game. Every human character just has this whiny, flimsy, undisciplined inflection to their voice, which makes no sense, since you'd expect the survivors to be the toughest of the tough to have made it this far (not to mention being all-around cooler and more fun). It makes it have more impact when THOSE are the people who fear The Doom-Slayer.

I love this cut scene alone, it's so rare that the fear radiates from the main character in such a way that even your allies are terrified of being anywhere near you. This is one of my all-time favorite mute protagonists because of the impact he has on his surroundings. In contrast, I'm reminded of skyrim where you kill the eater of worlds and bandits still think they can mug you.
As a UAC employee, you must know all of our "Slayer Safety" Protocols, this includes keycards... he REALLY likes keycards so if he wants your keycard, let him take it.
Pro tip: Dont be edgy and try a new look that looks: hellish or demonic... Jim would told you how dangerous it is around Doom slayer.... If he was alive....

I like to just imagine the employees from the intro just watching this carnage out the window, slack-jawed in awe as the Slayer just shreds through legion after legion of demons
