Remember the days when Samuel Hayden was just a robot getting angry at you for breaking his stuff and Vega was just telling you where to go? Good times
@@NOVA-hh5gl Yeah, the Dark Lord probably saw Doomguy fought the Icon of Sin and was like "Maybe I'll fight fire with fire because I sure as Hell not ending up like the Icon.".
i think this boss fight was harder than Gladiator and i wouldn't blame anyone for saying he's difficult, I could barely keep up with the guy (I was on Nightmare)
@@spoogy2342 I beat Seraphim on UN with my gold DOOMSLAYER skin just to get another gold skin. Wish they would’ve made a “new metal” skin, like maybe a diamond maykr suit or something other than gold
This boss fight made me want to die, I genuinely don't know how I finally managed to beat it, it was so frantic it felt like I didn't have time to think. I dread to think what brain shattering torture lies in store for part 2, haha.
13:33 "I never planned to kill you, but I am done with your crap" 13:43 "Fine, but next time this happens, I will slice his throat without second thought"
Why are the demons helping him? Wasn't the whole point of Doom Eternal that the Father and the Seraphim were NOT on the side of Hell? Yet in the Blood Swamps and this battle it seems to go against that.
@@TMoDDD makes sense I've heard that the skins for the doomslayer are actually doomslayers from alternative universes and it's confirmed that hell has attacked and consumed countless universes
I plan on not playing doom for another month. The part in the holt where the pillars became electrified and the spirit buffed hell knight spawned I knew it was time to take a break.
2 questions which pop up into my mind the first thing i see this video : 1) Why not use the meat hook in the shotgun to grapple and go towards the boss for super punch? 2) Why not shoot the cacadeamon with shotgun grenade for qucik stagger and kill then in like under 5 Seconds? Overall nice fight and effort brother..
@@juliusarchibaldiv3880 well, i guess everyone has their own ways laddy. I wouldn't complain, i play like a real noobster many a times which i really am. Uhh i guess he didn't have the BFG rounds..
Red sus. Red suus. I said red, sus, hahahahaha. Why arent you laughing? I just made a reference to the popular video game "Among Us"! How can you not laugh at it? Emergency meeting! Guys, this here guy doesnt laugh at my funny Among Us memes! Lets beat him to death! Dead body reported! Skip! Skip! Vote blue! Blue was not an impostor. Among us in a nutshell hahaha. What?! You Are still not laughing your ass off? I made SEVERAL funny references to Among Us and YOU STILL ARENT LAUGHING??!!! Bruh. Ya hear that? Wo00000osh. Whats woooosh? Oh, nothing. Just the sound of a joke flying over your head. Whats that? You think im annoying? Kinda sus, bro. Hahahaha! Anyway, yea, gotta go do tasks. Hahahaha!
So everything that Father said is a lie and Father is not technically the father but the son that userpes the Dark Lord who is the first been , so ...🤯😦😵
That’s what maykrs look like without the armor. Look closely at the screens in the arc carrier, that was under the armor before the transfiguration 8:00 notice that he’s not exactly teleporting, he flaps his wings and becomes a streak of energy. So he’s just using his full speed in bursts but he’s so fast it seems like teleporting 13:37 “it is not required that you end his life, you mission here is now your own” that line makes me feel bad for Sammy, as shown in the codex, he legitimately helped the earth fight back against the demons and all of his stuff was trying to prepare humanity to fight fight against hell
You like how this turned out or no? I like how he uses tricks and smart movement to combat you unlike the other bosses. Shows how he knows the slayer will tear him apart if he let's him get close.
@mo gamer He has seen the Slayer tear through hordes of demons, the icon of sin, and angels like they were nothing, can you blame the guy? Honestly big props for him even trying to get in the Slayer's path, it was suicide and he knew it lol
@@The.tatersalad" Trap you in the pentagram, seal your battered tomb, your life is just another game in Satan's night of Doom." He does end up sealed back in a tomb and it is Doom. It's too fitting especially when you know that Behind the Crooked Cross was part of the og Doom soundtrack
Yes, it's the same reason the Khan Maykr used Argent Energy. Their species regress without a source of energy. Haden aka Seraphim understood this but didn't like the idea they were subjugating other worlds and people. My assumption is that his plan was to resurrect Father so he could find a substitute way to avoid regression.
@@silentghoust the way he spoke of how different leadership would have prevented all the wrong that happened with the sentinels and the Maykrs which could mean he wanted to overthrow the khan taking Urdak for himself. Hayden had never been a true ally since 2016 and had his own motivations to do things hiding behind good causes. Also I don't get why he started the Argent energy research and why was the well so important when they had the Well (wraiths)? also I dont think transfiguration is possible without the essence which was destroying (whats interesting is there were many smaller orbs there too)
@@HunterForHire422 yep now that all classic parts are covered id has full creative freedom with where to go from here which I was waiting for cuz this dlc was way better than the main game albeit shorter
@@vegitoblue2187 I do not think the Seraph was truly/completely evil. According to the codex entries, he was literally sent to Earth to try and save humanity from an energy crisis. And now that's he's returned to his original body, he's sensing his rapid incoming transfiguration and wants the Father (God) back in physical form to help restore him. Sure, this might be a bit of an ulterior motive, but in the end the Seraph hates hell as much as doomguy does, and does not want humans to go extinct.
this was absolutely my saddest moment in the doom series. "he was my servant. on my command, he removed me from this place. It is not required that you end his life your mission here is now your own." I am glad at least we didn't kill him. Even the slayer was hesistant. he actually has strong emotions that's why he hates the hell this much and feels a great anger. he also feels pity for the ones who helped him like VEGA (how he backed him up to flash drive in 2016) or he couldn't kill Samur instantly, he would if it was a demon or smth for sure
I love the fact that Doomguy's face is never fully visible in Doom 2016 neither in Doom Eternal but everyone aknowleged that the Dark Lord looked just like him.
Probably because they have the same ideal. I mean, the whole reason this fight happened was because Slayer wanted to resurrect the Dark Lord while Samul Maykr said it's a bad idea
The Slayer only kills those allied with hell, most of the time. Samur obviously wasn’t allied with hell, he was just in the Slayer’s way, so he had to be beaten even if not killed. Though he probably would’ve done it if not for VEGA’s request, due to all the backstabbing and arrogance Samur had
@@Apathy474 The luminarium is the room he entered after the fight. Slayer didn’t even care about losing access, just tried to kill the Dark Lord right as he spawned in lol.
@@SuperLlama42 He did though. The Hell Priests _led_ the invasions, but it was Samur who knowingly probed for Argent with the knowledge that he'd be alerting Hell to both Mars and the Earth in doing so.
@@MagnificantSasquatch tbf he learned his lesson, he only took the crucible to copy argent and make their own human bootleg argent so yknow atleast he learned his shit
The thing is, as much as he had it coming? I feel bad about it. Samuel was such an interesting and charming character - calculating and cold, but still polite and willing to stop the demons. Plus his voice is fucking cool. To finally put him in his place, possibly even letting him die alone from his wounds, was something to be expected, but at this point...fuck. It's just sad to see him go.
That's final showdown pretty sick, kind of relates to the one-eyed dajjal reading in Revelations kind of a concept I can kind of see what they were going for a little bit but Doom kind of style way?
By Reviving The Dark Lord so that he can Kill the Devil Himself once and for all instead of just closing the gate to hell for a temporary solution, Seraphim didn't like this idea as he wanted to resurrect the God to save himself first. He first betrayed the Seraphim by taking the Dark Lord's soul instead of God's that is why He is fighting him.
Doomguy's plan is probably to summon the Dark Lord so he can kill him and end demons altogether, so he took the Dark Lord's sphere to summon him into a physical form solely to kill him. He knows that the Seraphim will disapprove of his plan and will try to stop him so he betrayed him.
Probably because this dude is playing on the lower difficulty. In UV or higher enemies have way more health, thus using the HC which has subpar damage and stopping power even with the infinite salvo on bosses or elites is just wasting time and ammo.
Maybe it's just me and I'm fucking trash but this boss seemed just unfair. I just couldn't get the hang of it. I'm ashamed to say I used sentinel armor to beat it. Still a really fun rest of the DLC though.
