Teddy Fresh No they absolutely fucking aren’t. The doomslayer is the leader of the night sentinels from argent d‘nur, while doomguy is just a buff marine
Whenever 2:25 would play after i had slaught a shitton of demons, it felt like doomguy was a real monster and the choir was there as a dramatic effect, making evidence of all the violence. Felt really good.
The first time I heard it I felt like a fucking god of hell after massacring the first arena of demons on kadingir sanctum, and the choir was the souls of hell, weaping in fear
Not even all guys and girls like today is trash rap dont get me wrong rap can sometimes have its moments but theres something special about rock,heavy,death,etc...etc
your eyes awake... 5 minutes after you finally fell asleep... you remember something? Something that you know you should have done... then it hits you... you forgot to do your homework, 2:35
Your eyes open... you hear a sound. As you wake up, the sound gets clearer and clearer. It's the sound of someone getting a punishment. Then a person next to you says- "Hey, you. You're finally awake. You were trying to do your homework, right? Walked right into the part of the hour where homework is checked, same as us, and that guy in a green suit over there." Someone replies, "Damn this teacher. Our class was fine until he came along. The class was fine and lazy. If he hadn't been here, I could've studied for our exams tomorrow and be one of the school's best." He points at you. "You there- you and me. We shouldn't have gotten punished. It's that guy, the guy in the green suit that the teacher wants. We got caught up in it, though." The teacher shouts: "You people there! Shut up, as you haven't done your homework!" The teacher mutters quietly, "Damn students."
This is actually edited *really* well. So seams or anything, and you layered the voices over each other perfectly when you repeated the choir line. Nice job.
2:33 A moment of reflection upon the slaughter you've done and adrenaline you've experienced. This part is my absolute favorite. So contrasting to the rest of the soundtrack, but 100 times better than just transitioning into basic ambient, while you jump around searching for secrets. I wish Doom Eternal had this kind of vibe at some point, although it's comparably better in every other aspect.
@@mohamedouhibi5389 Oh trust me, if you try, you can rape your keyboard while playing 2016. Just quickswitch a crap ton (use charged burst often) and the game becomes a lot more keyboard heavy, but fun.
From when you hear that first drum-kick to when you hear the choir fade out, your heart just drops in astonishment and love for the one, the only, Mick Gordon, and his beautiful talent.
2:35 I don't think this part is epic or awesome, it just reminds me that the Slayer was just a man, but one death turned him into a living weapon who will walk hell alone, forever. Even though he loves the violence, it's still kind of sad.
doom really seems to have a way of introducing you to concepts that you would NEVER think of otherwise The combination of metal, synths, and a choir shouldn’t work and yet it does the second you give it the context of killing demons with guns that a person REALLY shouldn't be handling.
Seriously, the Sign of Evil Hell Choir is absolutely BONE CHILLING! Truly one of the most beautiful soundtracks and in my opinion, the most memorable that is... *Sign of Evil*
That’s genuinely one of my favorite moments in any Mick Gordon soundtrack. The melody and harmony carried by that hellish choir, and the bass sub beneath it all. Fucking beautiful.
Recently replayed Doom 2016, made me equally love both modern Doom games but also made me miss this type of choir from Eternal, I can listen to the Kar En Tuk chant and the cultist chants any day but this angelic yet demonic choir will always be superior.
Like the "sound bar" effect on the beam of argent energy that corresponds to the music and choir, it's as if these twisted chants and sick riffs were apart of some dark, and arcane ritual that tore open and sustains the HUGE Hellportal up in the sky itself, real awsome!
Whenever I hear the hell choir I cannot stop seeing the tome picture from the data things, it just fits so well, the despair filled demons singing their fear and their attempts to beg him for mercy as the high ranking angels grant him his powers, Doom slayers visor glowing with holy yet rage filled light. It’s a glorious scene to think of. Then again I can also see the demons looking at the remains of the titan in such despair as well.
When the song shifts to 2:34 just imagine this: You killed billions of demons and angels. You dominated The Hell. You destroyed Heaven just because they betrayed you and made a deal with The Hell . You are so tired and your mind is so twisted that only thing that keeps you alive is your Hatred. *PURE HATRED*. You feel the Hatred is slipping between your hands and you fell the exhaustion pressuring you to give up. When song shift to 3:30 you remember your officer that commanded you to shoot civilians, you remember that humans sent you to Mars to exile you. You remember Daisy. Your precious bunny. You remember how did your bunny died and how the demons destroyed your home. You feel the Unholy Hatred fill you. IT'S TIME TO RIP AND TEAR.
Every time I listen to this, I just imagine Doomguy going on a mass killing spree on a group of demons until 2:34 At 2:34, I imagine him looking at the mass carnage he’s caused with brief flashbacks of his past (the first invasion of Earth, Daisy’s death, getting found by the Night Sentinals, etc.) before ultimately moving on to RIP AND TEAR some more
Very appreiative of this, as the origonal song "Damnation" for the DOOM (2016) Only has a couple versions of the choir, and are often too silent so this is by far an improvement in my opinion, great work
“And in his conquest against the blackened souls of the doomed, his prowess was shown. In his crusade, the seraphim bestowed upon him terrible power and speed. And with his might, he crushed the obsidian pillars of the blood temples. He set forth without pity against the beasts of the nine circles. Unbreakable, incorruptible, unyielding, the Doom Slayer sought to end the dominion of the dark realm.”
