They'll still go to Hell. It'll just be one giant smoking hole, with ashes and rocks. Millions upon millions of corpses, with nothing alive and nothing burning.
It's odd. Doom 2 was far from the hardest game I ever beat, and it definitely wasn't the first either. But this theme... it made my journey through Hell on Earth feel like the greatest triumph I've ever had in any game. Just imagine a Doom movie where, after the smoke clears, the final rocket launched into the titanic monster before our hero, this theme started to play. For the first time, the hero cracks a smile. Without another word, he turns back and begins the trek home, the sun setting behind him. Finally, he's won. Epic. Truly epic.
@@The_CakeminatorNope,that was doom 2, doom 1 had "Sweet little Dead Bunny" but that wasn't when he avenged daisy, because doom 2 is where he did,by defeating hell
"The horrendous viage of the biggest demon you've ever seen crumbles before you, after you pump your rockets into his exposed brain. The monster shrivels up and dies, its thrashing limbs being impossible to render in 1994." - Civvie 11, PRO DOOM 2
I loved Avengers Endgame, but this year DOOM took me by storm, with DOOM Eternal being my first played DOOM game, I love the franchise after only 5 months of playing Eternal, 2016, 2, 1, and beating Plutonia Experiment yesterday. So yes, DOOM has the better Endgame.
@@muricaneagle666 i got every game in the series with one simple plan, complete everything. this is going to be hell of a task and im ready for it, i will die a lot and get tired a lot but when i do finish everything it will be my trophy for myself, im also planning to beat Doom Eternal on Nightmare with the DLC. wish me luck
+LegendByGod Not really, a lot of people have theroized that Event Horizon takes place in the Warhammer 40K universe though based on the similarities of how they traveled through space and also the various grotesque things that happened on the ship. Without a ship having a Gellar Field, demons can come into the ship from the warp.
@@LegendByGod On paper yes it's very intriguing but when the only movies are Doom and Event Horizon we're pretty screwed on getting a properly done movie with these concepts and ideas in mind.
Whenever I beat Doom I or II I crank the volume to the max, set my controller down, and sit back to listen to all the tracks Its the best reward for beating a game of all time
When I finished high school this song played. "You finally done it! You finished school, no more bullies, no more teachers, no more exams, not a fucking thing. You wonder what wil happen next. You just sit down in a flat to rest and start planning your live. It's over by now...
When I read the ending text with the music in the background, I can just picture Doomguy rising to his feet on the elevated platform, covered in debris and gore from the explosion of the Icon of Sin, smiling and chuckling with grim satisfaction from his victory over Hell and then walking off into the sunset.
@@evelin1006 in doom 2 you start off in earth, then you defeat the icon of sin. In fear the demons retreated to hell and he decided to close the portal on him and vow to kill every demon standing in that realm, just so something like that would never happen again.
@@giggle6070 i finished doom 2 recently. You start in earth,go free the stuck humans so that they escape, making you the last human on earth, later they tell you where is "the core".Stop them, see that you can't do that on Earth,so you go to Hell.
Congrats, you won, now look around, see what you've done? You didn't win, they still remain, and your not gonna stop now are you? No, your stuck in here with us...doomed to fight till your last breath, hope you've had fun, because this is your last destination, hell. You wont stop will you? You dont understand, this is your fate, you were a good hero, now your time has come
You think I have vanished forever? *_THINK AGAIN._* I am slowly regenerating from my previous defeat. When I will come back, you will be right to fear me, you mortal!
***** John Romero...? Oh, the former hero! Well, I'll soon need a new energy source. Guess I will have to send my minions to find a powerful soul to implant.
Agreed. They don't make game music like they used to. It adds so much more to a game. Shooting stuff is great, but the music pushes you forward. Whoever created this game and this sound track are gods.
Part of my job invloves patrolling a haunted jail cell and courthouses complex from the early nineteen hundreds. needles to say, listening to this while doing it is beyond epic. Not sure if scaring ghosts away.. or attracting them.. =P
+crucicade Came back to listen to this and saw my comment is now #1 haha awsome! Still same job, and i think the ghosts are officialy scared of me by now.
Ah, love this music & all Doom music! A few months back, I actually replayed saved games of one of the episodes just to find the title. My intention was to google the text & find this music. Took a while but was worth it. ;) Now, I stumbled upon this as I was expecting the music from a level which only has archvilles in it.
"And so the Raid on Area 51 was a Complete Success! All the Aliens, Cat Girls, Tech, Etc were Taken and Area 51 was Burnt to the Ground, Victory has Never Tasted Sweeter, Although the Secret Services are Hot on our Tails, This was our Ultimate End Goal."
the fact your name on youtube is Jim Darkmagic and then you post all of these videos, can we admit we are long lost brothers my d20 and super shotgun wielding friend?
This is such a dark yet victorious song. All the demons are dead, but they weren't killed by a mighty hero. They were simply killed by _doom incarnate._
The song reiterates itself, but the more it does the more visual I see of he's finally come to terms that it's finally over, and then when he doubts himself again, he gets reassured again and again. That's how I see it, but all in all I fuckin' love this song.
I don't know why this piece of music always makes me emotional. It reminds me of a childhood long gone. It reminds me of my struggles and times i wanted to give up on my life. Listening to this really brings full circle as I'm reminded of my parents, the few people who still love me and a loving sister who's just wanting the best for me. I really hope I fight my demons someday and listen to this with happiness in the future.
I'm playing DOOM II in UV with the fast parameter. I've been stuck with MAP 20 (Gotcha) for several days and I died a lot of times and committed a lot of stupid mistakes (that never happened to me before) Having finishing that map and hearing this...... oh Lord, it's motivating. It gives like a breeze of glory. Greetings to all the Doomers out there!
Almost forgot to leave a like on the track, it's pretty much a requirement to like this track at this point, it's that damn good, perfect endgame theme to such a perfect game
Great memories. Unlike Ultimate Doom where the endgame track made you feel your victories were only hiding something grim/evil comming (D2HoE) this one actually made you proven yourself as a true hero :D
You've done it, you've finished college, now you are supposed to rest aren't you? Where is your celebration and your well deserved vacation? You only see job applications in your room and your college debt rising, this is supposed to be a victory ain't it?
@@BOPPERQBIT Nope, Archvile maze uses the Doom 1 end music (with the rabbit) This one is for "Slayer" (which is a modified Circle of Death/O of Destruction)
@@theitalianstallion973 after level 10 in doom 2, doomguy just sit down and waited the inevitable death, but then the other humans in spaceships told him that they found the origin of the invasion

The nightmare isn't over... *mada dame yo.* [Cue the events of Final Doom's The Plutonia Experiment (and also TNT: Evilution, if one can fit that on the lore), Doom 64, a lot of classic Doom WAD Multiversal shenanigans, Quake III: Arena, some implied soul-surfing in Doom³+Resurrection of Evil, and DOOM 2016 and Eternal (with perhaps Quake Champions in between).] Edit: If anyone asks, the song's true title is "Read Me If You're Listening to This" and is also the text screen music for Doom II and, in case the fanmade MIDI isn't utilized, Final Doom: The Plutonia Experiment's own text screens and MAP 21: Slayer.
