*Some background and rant:*
Most of my own covers are based on ideas I get when I can't find music that sounds the way I think it should sound...
For example: I felt so lied to by people on youtube calling their DOOM covers "orchestral" but then having an electric guitar and/or drums in it anyway - so I went ahead and wrote my own cover... Purely orchestral! xD
(I've had the idea in mind for a while tho but never got around to covering DOOM... This was the perfect chance lmao)
It's not that the covers people made were bad (they are hella good) and I get that the DOOM music is basically "extreme demon killing heavy metal background music"... But that's no excuse to lie to people (or rather mislabel it)! Just call it "symphonic metal" or something instead! Or maybe "Cover with Orchestra" or "Heavy Metal Orchestra"- if you wrote it like that then I wouldn't have felt so annoyed. I think "Symphonic" also sounds cooler than "Orchestral"!
Sorry for sounding so salty and angry lol (also, I know I'm a hypocrite lol) - I had to vent a bit... All these soul crushing school essays have probably taken a toll on my mental health lately so I think I need to vent my anger and kill some demons before I maybe kill myself instead out of severe depression lmao.
