Actually the new doom is better with tank build + arcane blink. With lv25 talent doom break + aghanim scepter, even fully equipped timbersaw or bristleback becoming paper heroes. This new doom is the best combo breaker of all, and worst nightmare for heroes that relied on passive skill. Balanar silence is nothing compared to this new doom lmao

"passive skill" this is so wrong.. dude they removing the aganim break till lv 25 and most of the game will end before u reach that level... its on compare to NS silence what makes different that doom have more hard hitting active skill and ofcourse longer duration..but that being said ns that didnt need aganim to make his silent work in aoe and less cd has it own merit

It was heavily used in one of the TIs to the point where Doom was banned every match. Can’t imagine how cool that combo would be now with AoE Doom.

There is a sound that sometimes is heard in the background, hidden among many other sounds during the team fights, a sound that sounds a lot like the microsoft teams incoming call alert sound. I have a mini panic attack each time I hear that sound because I think its my boss calling me.

Lol I already called this when I read the patch notes. Doom will be the most RELEVANT hero of Ti11. His disrupting ability with Self Cast doom is simply impossible to counter and almost impossible to play around. This puts enemy teams at a huge disadvantage having to make sure they're split at all times. If Doom stays OFF the minimap, its impossible to predict where he will be Blinking in from the trees. All melee heroes are screwed.

Eh? Axe can do virtually the same thing by blinking and taunting and he can do it several times in a short duration, Doom has 145s cd and needs Aghs to work. Plus Axe has 90% damage reduction with shard and free armor with culling blade, and free blade armor with his counter helix, he already screwed melee carries like Naga siren for ages. Doom gets none of that as a Tank. Axe outshined Doom for years.

@@whitehavencpu6813 not even close. Axe cant blink cancel all channeling spells and the Aoe of aoe doom is pretty large. and its 16 secomds of pure chaos. No items, no spells. Just everyone running for their lives.

@@charlesnewborn3760 That 16s duration and being able to cancel channeling is simply the tradeoff for having 145s cooldown and requiring Aghs. Plus that only works for Doom in the midlane or if he can really win his off-lane fast enough to buy Aghs. Doom has virtually no defense so without a significant level and item advantage he won't last that 16s.

Doom (Lucifer) back then is strong, even as a support in Dota 1. That guy isn't too strong enough against high damage hero though. But this patch makes him broken, I don't think Dota 2 is as broken as this back then
