Me: i like old world style weapons and the ages of knights and dragons Friend: i like modern/futuristic weapons and the age of robotics and technology Bethesda: well boys do i have a game for you.
Hugo Martin in a dev stream like four years ago said he wanted the next doom game to take place during the Unholy Crusade, and that he wanted it to feel like you're playing a monster truck instead of an F1 fighter jet.
Dude I haven't heard Rygar in years when I first played when I was like 6 years old had no business playing it either but it's what got me into gaming that and also Rachet and clank tony hawk underground 1 and 2 ETC
Remember when Doom Eternal was joked about being the most testosterone-fueled game? Now there's this thing which has even more metal in the testosterone
i just finished doom and am going through eternal right now, and personally i dont love the constant jump and dash gotta go fast style, so im extra excited they are going more grounded with this, like the dev said i wanna feel like a tank and i wanna feel like my weapons hit hard
I saw the trailer and I always loved the vibe of Doom but never played it, last week I bought Doom. I'm having a blast! Looking forward to play Eternal and Dark Ages next!
So this is back when the Maykrs (angels) in Doom were still technically the good guys. He's on an alien/alternate fantasy planet that got invaded by demons and whose empire stretched across the stars thanks to their patrons the angels. Doomguy showed up and accidentally brought the demons with him.
I wished they would have just watched the actual showcases because they go more in depth with most of the games. That way the questions you have will more than likely be answered.
So hear me out there a pvp dragon rider game called Century and seeing that dragon riding scene has me wish for a dragon mount pvp mode. That'd be metal AF.🤘🙂↕️😁
They need to add the skyrim style switch to first to third person to really in joy the glory kills. Its been the one missing link in doom an my only complaint/wish ever!
I'm very curious about it. Doom 2016 was excellent, forced you to be aggressive with the glory kills, but overall it felt like modernized Doom II. Doom Eternal changed a lot of the formula, introducing grapple and monkey bars, it was a game where you had to stay in the air and be extra mobile. It was such a rush to just massacre every demon doing the most insane jumps, dashes, correcting your trajectory just to fall and glory kill the ennemies. Now, Doom The Dark Ages feel like a complete different beast again. Like, they didn't go the easy way, they seem to have, once again, reinvented the formula. It seems like it's much more of a heavy feeling Doom Slayer, you will be much more stuck to the ground but you will have to block and parry. Can they pull it off again and make a better game than Doom Eternal ? Not gonna lie, it's gonna be hard, but man am I excited to see how the game feels ! I have total trust in id software to deliver a spectacular, peak gaming experience.
holding my breath for a Rick reaction to the game i am most hyped for >.> i know these are still coming so im going to hold the faith. but if rick likes the games ive seen him mention
This doom is more classic than doom eternal, no jumping or parkour like thing, just in the ground and charging forward in battlefields, like hugo Martin said, in eternal you are an F-15 , in dark ages you are like an abram tank
For the guy saying this feels way different than eternal, there will still be all those games to play, I know this game is gonna be better and the changes are Amazing, eternal has so much replay ability so I’m glad it’s not some type of copy and paste combat system
I'm glad you mentioned that it looks different. It fundamentally looks different from the other doom games. This looked way slower and honestly it looks less interesting than the previous doom games.
I already said it under other videos, but I don't really like that more fantasy and black metal way they are going with series, I would prefer return to more sci-fi looking Doom with story not about gods and such crazy things. This reminds me more like Painkiller than Doom. Or it would be good Heretic, maybe they want to resurrect Heretic series, but they just want name Doom because of marketing reasons.
@@aidanleffler4897this time it's probably going to play out more like Serious Sam, more down to earth (literally) combat, where you'll have to be a little more careful while dodging projectiles since you can't just fly away into the stratosphere
@@FBI_42069 you realise it’s still pre rendered even if it’s using in game footage right like that can still be pre rendered 😂 it’s still a year away from release. They did the same with halo infinites release trailer
@@jyrxz4945 Digital Foundry has analysed the trailer and noticed frame dips indicative of it being true real time rendered footage, fake trailers definitely exist but this isn't one of them.
@@jyrxz4945 those 2 games are not even close to the same in any manner ID software has a good rep for making games that are released finished not half assed.
@@jyrxz4945 also they did this same thing with doom eternal the game was basically done a year before release, this is not a new thing with ID they are actually talented devs that love and are passionate about what they make.
