I like how in this story he kept doomer employed at McDonald’s the whole time doomer worked on bettering himself. It doesn’t matter what job you work, working everyday to improve yourself is what will make you happy and successful because at the end of the day it’s just a job that doesn’t define you. There's absolutely nothing wrong with working at McDonald's. I actually know a guy who started out there as a grill cook. He then kept getting promoted, to supervisor, then to night manager, making pretty good money. Last time I heard from him, he had a house near the beach and a nice car. It's not the job you do that counts, but your attitude, and the ability to see how far that job can take you.

I think something that can help with consistency is being honest with yourself and humble enough to admit when it's too much for you/causing burn out. @@bobdole8830 He's happy, so it did help him. You don't need to be rich to be happy. Just aim for smaller, realistic and grounded things. It's easier to aim higher when you actually have a happy life. Just look at some of those rich influencers who try to show themselves as super happy, rich people - while they keep talking about stress and all the fatigue involved in their success. Is this really happiness? And is this really how they want to spend the best years of their lives?
@bobdole8830
@bobdole8830 Месяц назад
@@JamesEarlCash Being stuck in a deadend job with no hope of getting out, no future, no meaningful relationships, that's not really a good place to find happiness. True, you can manipulate yourself long and thoroughly enough to be happy with what you've got, but that's more of a compromise at best. No one said it's about money or social media bling, but about meaning. Many people can do pointless, repetitive tasks for the rest of their lifes without questioning them or themselves and lead a live that is worth living for them, and that is fine as well. But some people need to believe that what they do has some value to themselves or others, and selling near toxic industrial sludge for a greedy and heartless corporation slightly above minimum wage, will not suffice. I switched careers 4 or 5 times until I found a profession that made me happy, gave me the fealing to meaningfully contribute to society and paid well enough to get by. It is important to change yourself if you are not happy and do something. But getting into form physically and mentally is only the very first step to get there.

I like how accurate this video is, and not just a fantasy story. At 1:35 our Doomer is crying alone, but not from sadness, but from the pain of struggle: the struggle of becoming a better version of yourself. I'm on this journey just like you, and it's not a path with rainbows and flowers along the side of the road all of the time: there is pain and hardship; you will step on thorns; often times it will be a rainy day, and the only thing keeping you from not falling completly is your discipline. Don't get comfy.

Biggest thing in this video that everyone should take away is that your JOB/CAREER does not define you if perhaps you are NOT happy with that job. YOU are in control of how you feel whether how you go about that being exercising or hobbies that are POSITIVELY affecting your life because at the end of the day, thats all that really matters. Not everyone is rich financially but internally rich, YOU can control that!
