Glad I could help! Unfortunately it is increasingly difficult to find real non promoted unbiased reviews on YT these days. Everyone has gone to the “promo” model which is unfortunate and IMHO misleading to some degree.
My cousin has it and she brought it when she visited. Her baby loved it. We could eat at any restaurant, and you'd forget he was even there. However, like this author said, their baby is a longer than normal baby.
Great review learned a lot. Also, note the rear wheels snap on and quick release easily, so there is no need to worry about dirty wheels messing up your car. Just remove them to store stroller in the car.
@stevend481 Some people love the Doona, we actually sold ours to our friends that love it. Some of the experience certainly depends on your child and lifestyle but for us it didn’t work at all.
This video was amazing! Thank you so much for the honest review! I was dead set on buying one of these until I decided to start properly looking into them to see if they’re actually practical. Funny enough, my sister has the Nuna and swears by it. Don’t was nice to see a quick good review of it in this video too!
First trust . Bless you guys. Everyone else who keeps talking about convenience haven’t checked the safety rating . It rates really low like really low. Another irritating thing is rolling the tires all around and on up the car seat it goes I can’t deal. I went with the upper baby vista and car seat.
Great move, the Uppa baby Vista and Cruz are excellent! We have the Cruz and our friends have the Vista. I love the Cruz for so many reasons! Going to do a review on it soon! Spoiler alert I’ve been using it as a running stroller!
Loved the video, so informative and detailed! I'm not a mother but I was interested and curious about the Doona carseat/stroller since I saw many parents using it. I was curious to know what happen to the wheels when it was time to put the Doona back into the car. I honestly didn't like the idea of the wheels of the Doona being on my carseat. I've heard that I can lay something down so that the seat doesn't get dirty or even remove the wheels overall, but that just sounds like more work...
So if you use the base, the wheels lock into the base, if you don’t use the base then yes the wheels are more likely to have some contact and get dirt on your seats.
Glad you found it helpful. There are so many variables that can affect your experience with this Stroller. One thing for certain is the usable life span of this product is definitely very short. IMHO money would be better spent on something with a longer lifespan. If you can afford to splurge this is okay for certain scenarios but in the long term will not save you money.
You're exactly on point i have a love hate relationship with the doona its not a stroller for alot of things and its super heavy my babys only 9 weeks and i already struggle to put her in my suv cause its so heavy but... it is super practical when im going to a restaurant or at a quick stop somewhere i bought the vista as an actual stroller for shopping ,walks and just general use
Yeah, it is a mixed bag for sure. It works great for very specific situations but, as much as I hate to say it its kinda a novelty item. Great for the first 3-4 months of your child’s life but past that I don’t see it.
I live in TX and this was a present for me. I have some of the same pros and cons about it. I would have not brought this for myself it is really expensive for what you get. It’s not built as well as it should and you baby does over heat and it’s very heavy.
Wow, okay my newborn was born at 9lbs 14oz & is a month old now weighing at 11lb . I felt guilty for not getting this because I do travel alot so I thought it would be cool but I got the Graco Modes instead & I love it ,
Great review. I agree and disagree in a few points. Our baby is 7months, we love it and we're in atlanta. BUTTTT i do agree that the attachments are wildly expensive, theres no storage, and using the stroller outside cruising aropund the mall or flater surfaces is a fiar point. But is really convenient. But we also have a Bugabo donkey 5 for the stroller so.. lol yeah. But great content guys!!!!
Just ordered one, also seen the comparison to the evenflo. First time Father and it’s getting difficult to fit the right one. We are active and want a great multipurpose seat
Honestly, based on our experience. It is a waste of money even if someone was to ignore our other reasons. The main problem is most children will out grow this solution in 6-8 months or a year. IMHO the cost/benefit for such a short window just isn’t there. The Uppa Baby Cruz or Vista are far superior options that can be used for many years as your child grows. In theory the Doona sounds good but in reality it’s not so great.
Yeah, our friends bought ours and they love it. It didn’t work for us though. So many variables at play here but it definitely a luxury and not essential.
You can buy the limited edition which comes with almost every accessory like bag, leather handle, seat protector, newborn insert. Or you can get the regular one and buy the bag apart
I have the same issues. 11lb baby boy 23inches. This is our 5th child. We bought it under the idea of convenience and having bought other strollers and already having many car seats from our older kids. Our son hates the doona. Its too hot
This stroller is great for us only because we travel I mean when we flight ✈️ , so we have a car seat & a stroller, we cannot carry our car seat for every city we visit, we have a regular stroller & car seat. This is not for everyday life.
Regrets. The doona safety is bad using the car base. It moves way too much, there is no way that is normal. My uppa baby did not move like that.. don’t buy it
