I was looking at that bag and the Buckley. Now I’m said because I should have purchase the Buckley during the Labor Day sale. Did get the leisure shopper on sale. Enjoy your bag maybe next time I can purchase both bag.

Tanisha Banks Oh yes, I love the Buckley so much. It’s a nice style bucket bag. Last year they went for $289 during the 12 days of Dooney Christmas sale. I heard on a different channel that the "Made in America" D&B bags have the rectangular leather base, and the "Made in China" bags don't have the rectangular leather base but they do have the 4 metal feet on the bottom. I don't know if that's a fact. I have bags of both types. The ones that are "Made in America" do seem to have little better quality, but both are awesome. I think the black/black that you have is gorgeous. It probably goes with just about everything.

I agree, the Made in America does seem to better quality. I kind of hate that I sold my natural satchel that was Made in America. Hmm I hadn't heard that about the base but that it really good to know. Thank you, I love this bag. I need to pull it out soon😃. Thank you so much for watching 🤗

Very nice! This size used to be my favorite but I had to sell it. Although it was the perfect size I just couldn’t keep fighting with that opening.

Hey Mo, soooo glad you did this review comparison!👜👛 This is what ive been talking about! When bags show 1 way online or older versions that we think the bag is but when we get the bag, its different than what we thought! No trim, velvet vs. leather linings, color or size differences than what an online site says, thus a reason for many returns. Please keep up the review comparisons! Great Vid! Hi, I just came across your page and love this video. I purchased the first version you mentioned, from I Love Dooney in Black Black, but did not like the feel of the pebble tassels. So, I returned it and purchased the one like you have now. I actually think the smooth leather tassels and trim makes the bag more elegant and classy. I love it!

I only have one small satchel and while I think that it’s beautiful, I don’t reach for it very much. The opening, in my opinion, is not user friendly. I have many other Dooney satchels that I prefer to carry like my zip, zips, domed satchels, Darcy satchels etc. They are much more user friendly to me.

hey Mo, thanks for sharing....i actually purchased the blk/blk scarlett satchel bag as well thinking it was going to be a medium size and it was just too big for me.....so im going to gift it to my niece for her bday.....i like the silhouette, always wanted the florentine satchel but after this purchase i realized that i need to try a small size....glad to know you will be enjoying this bag....im sure my niece will also.....take care and be safe.

I like the white stitching. I had the Samba version in Navy at one point which was very similar. I now have 2 versions black florentine one is USA bag with flat bottom, Yellow stitching and red leather trim instead of green suede. I wish stitching was white. I would like to get a natural like color in pebble leather. TFS

I like both versions. The Black w/brown in it allows for brown shoes to be worn. The Black black looks like it can be the dressier of the two. TFS!

Beautiful bag!😍 I love the Black/Black color scheme on this bag. I always wonder about the bags that don't have the leather collar on the pockets. Hey!! So I ended up getting rid of this bag because it wasn't the same as my original one that I really wanted. Dooney recently relaunched the one that I originally had. It was a 2018 bag and is currently on the ILD site. I was able to grab it! The style number for the one I originally had is FA980BBL. The one that I'm showing in this video is style #r980bbb.

If you're interested in the original one that was released in 2018, then Def grab it!!! The leather is out of this world! It's so squishy and good! I'll upload the video on it tomorrow.

Its a really nice bag. Its not heavy to me but if you take it on long shopping trips (hr or more) than it will start to weigh you down. You can use it crossbody and oh yes I'm still in love with this bag. It is one of my favorite Doomey silhouettes and will forever be in my collection 😊. Thank you so much for watching 🤗

Was it made in china ? Cause I bought one in marine and tan and have the same characteristics compare to the one I have that is made in USA . Would that be the case ?

Hi!! I wonder if your older bag that you had was one made in the U.S.? Reason I ask this is because your older one had the base on the bottom and also had the leather trim around the opening. I know the ones made in the U.S. do have the the firm base on the bottom and the leather around the opening. The ones made in China do not have the firm base and have the suede around the inside opening. I bought a pink Florentine satchel made in the U.S. and it was like your older bag. Both bags are gorgeous either way!! Tfs and have a great day!! 💕💗💕

Good question, I wonder also🤔. It probably was a made in US though. I just looked inside of my current bag and I can't find the label inside to see where its made. Thats weird. There's 2 labels and one says D&B with numbers on the other side. The other label is just black with nothing on it. I'm curious now to know where it was made. Thank you! Hey Mo thanks for the comparison.. Your bag is a beauty! Hmmm though DB cuttting corners, hmm did they cut the price? I hate when companies starting doing things like that. I have the older in midnight blue, same as you described and another difference from yours it has a strip of leather on the bottom of the bag and then the feet place on top. I think the deal breaker for me is no leather trim inside, what's up with that Dooney?? Luckily for Peter, the style remains kick ass, but dang dooney why why? Thanks for a great video opening my eyes!

PSA PublicShoppingAddict So it’s so strange...the bag that has less detailing on it retails for more than the bag that comes with all of the extras ($10 difference). I don’t get that🤦🏽‍♀️. The only thing that sold me on this bag was the black on black look but this bag would be perfect if it had the leather trim inside. I know now that I need to really check out a bag before I purchase because Dooney is playing tricks on me lol. Thanks for watching 🤗
