Hi Guys! Thanks for taking the time to watch my video. After watching ‪@indubitablysenise‬ video, it inspired me to take out my Dooney Large Framed Purses, a.k.a. Kiss Lock Coin Purses, and give them a look. It brought up the question, "Is the shape a defect?". What do you guys think?

Hi guys, I can't believe I forgot one! I also have a Large Framed Purse in grey suede. That one is pretty uniform in shape with the sides protruding out a bit. The inside has tan smooth leather card slots. It's really pretty. :) Thanks for watching and have a great day. xoxo :)

I saw Senise’s video too and it is so interesting. Great subject. I don’t have too much insight. I think I have 3. I only really use one. Hi TB! Beautiful collection of Coin Purses. I don’t use mine much either. Actually, if you look at the old school coin purses, they are not symmetrical either. I don’t think it’s a defect, especially since all of yours are not symmetrical. I had to look at mine and they aren’t either. I have one of my grandmothers and it’s way off from being perfect. Well i have a few dooney kisslocks, love the way they look... but i woudnt say they are user friendly.. when opened the leather becomes tawnt... cant get your hand in! Wish dooney would go over their designs before hitting the go button! Along with those those big a... wide buttoms... men...they think they are so perfect, but they need someone who uses bags to test them out first! But we love them so! tfs.. so glad u are back!

I saw Indubitaly Senise video too, and that was a great catch.👍 There have to be templates used to cut the leather pieces, so I'm thinking it's maybe due to the sewing process, then having to turn out the leather that gives it the wonky sides.🤷🏻‍♀ They're still cute though.👛😍 TFS.😊

Hi Pokk, Senise brought up a great topic for sure. I think you're right. I'm wondering if it's the incorporation of the metal frame? I think it adds a bit of complication to the sewing process. I used to use these as wallets all the time, but then decided they were too big for my smaller bags so I don't reach for them much. TFS!!! I just ordered my first one and it’s extremely flat on both sides. I do not like this shape and prefer the sides to protrude a little. I will send this one back and see if I can get a different shape. If not, I may just purchase these in-store because they are so cute.

Hi Ivanna………this is interesting. The only one of my kisslocks that has a different shape is my one saffiano leather kisslock purse. It is a little taller and the sides are more straight.My other ones are all pebble leather with the normal shape. Love the kisslocks 💕

Those are all cute! I think they are handmade which probably accounts for that one having a slightly different side. Not sure. Something to look out for when purchasing. Can you believe I don’t have one yet?

I try to get one to match each bag to use as a catch all. The three that differ the most in my collection are the Gretta in colors Tmoro and Navy...they have piping all around the bottom edges & leather logo. I think they are a tiny bit wider at the bottom. My black nylon one does not have card slots and I just got a plum wine pebble leather like yours and the kiss lock hardware has slightly bigger balls and it was practically impossible to open. I didn't send it back because it took 6 months to get and its kind of rare color. Now that I watched your video, I will start noticing which ones are not sewn uniformly. I think the only colors I am missing now is the Florentine in Ginger and I regret returning Fuchsia color that I would get again. I returned most of my Fuchsia stuff after getting billed for them 6-7 months later and I thought they were paid for. I still don't know if I paid for them because the Klarna hits to my credit card don't say which order they were charging for. I ended up also repurchasing the Small Satchel in Fuchsia when it showed up at a heavy discount....glad because it was way cheaper than I paid the first time. Sorry for the long rant. Love your videos as always!!!

I have heard some billing horror stories. I'm sorry that you has so many issues. I'm scared to use Klarna for that very reason. That Florentine Fuchsia color is soooooo gorgeous! Hello, Ivana! At first I thought your concern was that one of the Large Framed Purses had fabric-only (no leather) card slots. I was going to tell you that one of the more recent (2021) batches of LFPs was described/photographed with textile-lined card slots. The reason I know is because I was debating buying one of that batch because I didn't want textile card slots (too loose and gap-y) but the outside leather color I wanted came only in that textile slot batch. As for the shape, I'll have to compare my LFPs--but most of mine are Florentine. Last year I bought at least one, maybe two at most, in Pebbled. I'll let you know if I see the outside shape variations. That might intentionally vary by batch the way the card slots did, though. So happy to see you! Trying to catch up on my Dooney friends' vids.

I think it's because all of mine had leather ones and I had nothing to compare them to. I think the outside shape bothers me more than the card slots, but I agree that the all fabric ones might be looser making the cards not as secure. That would be a valid concern for me. I love the kiss lock! I can load mine with my cards, hand gel, lip balm, a pack of gum, pen, keys, and a mask if needed. If I don’t want to take my handbag I just grab this and go. But what I like most is that it kind of acts like an organizer in my handbags big or small. I always know what is in it and it is usually like the must haves for me to do a quick run anywhere.

@@francinenebel Oh the tough questions…For looks and feel I think I would pick suede. For durability, and if I were using this in an everyday basis, I would choose leather. I have noticed that too on some of the Dooney items. For instance, the Caroline bag comes in different sizes. One has a wide strap, the other has the regular strap and the bags are not the same measurements. They do have a small Caroline but watch the dimensions on the others. That's just to name one. Some items are made for the outlet also which are specifically made for the outlet. Those are usually made a little cheaper. There are varying degrees of Dooney for sure. Do you sell online bags you want to get rid of?

Hi, I don't think I know what the Caroline bag is. I believe they might sometimes update their bags or make slightly different versions. I've seen that on the Florentine Satchel. The version that was made in America had slightly different structure and hardware. I have seen some outlet exclusives too. From my experience those usually don't have interior pockets trimmed in leather. I do sometimes sell bags online, though I haven't sold any in awhile. I'm thinking of selling some soon. That may be the case for some items, however I have purchased many perfect items as well. It is important to fully look over anything you purchase and accept what you are buying. My GRETTA LARGE FRAMED PURSE and my LARGE ERICA HOBO came with “made in the aux Philippines” are they authentic? I won them off a radio contest and was told by three representatives at Dooney & Bourke that they are fake. The radio station is telling me basically that I’m crazy! Lol please help me out here.

Hi, congratulations on winning the contest! I'm sorry if your items turn out to be counterfeit. I am not sure if I have seen bags made in the Phillipines. I did a little searching and here is some information I found. This came from an article online, "Look for the fabric tag in the bag’s interior and you should find a red, blue, and white tag with ‘Dooney & Bourke’ on it.Flip that tag over and you should find the bag’s unique ID number, which you can use to register your bag on Dooney & Bourke’s website for a 1 year warranty. Since the company was founded in 1975, the company has been making bags with a team of designers and craftsmen in Norwalk, Connecticut. Some manufacturing has been moved offshore.
