Perfect bag. I have 5 of the Florentine satchel. I have lv and coach ect. None compare to dooney especially. The Florentine satchel. I love your fur babies. I have 2 furkids of my own. I totally agree with you about the quality of Dooney and Coach. I waited for so long to get an LV Speedy Empreinte and was disappointed in the leather when compared to this bag. Dooney and coach do leather and glazing so much better.
Most LVs are actually COATED COTTON with leather accents. Like the Speedy and Neverfull. The complete body of the bag, is NOT leather. The handles and straps are usually leather.
Thank you for the review. I just purchased the black from the main dooney site and it was very expensive but perfect. I agree, it is far superior to LV in quality. I have Hermes’ bags and this is equally good quality. Love you beautiful dogs.
Another great way to save on florentine satchels or Dooney in general is getting them from the Dooney outlets. They will ship to you and the florentine satchels are usually 40% off. They offer them In medium and small sizes. That's how I was able to get mine. BTW I agree that natural has to be the most beautiful and classic color. Love your bag and thanks for sharing!
Eh, sometimes it’s a bit or miss though. My friend has bought some from the outlet and she got 3 of hers scratched and with very strong odors… I ordered from the legit site and mine were perfect
I love the Dooney Florentine Satchels. I have 4 mediums and I have a small on its way. I have the Navy, Light Taupe, Natural and Steel Blue. And I just ordered the Slate in the small size.
@@ALLara The micro and the nano are very cute. But I have always been a " big bag" kinda girl. I'm actually out of my comfort zone, trying the small, lol! But I do need a small bag for vacations, amusement parks and such....if and when its safe. I do notice that the micro and the nano have a slightly different silhouette due to its size. They seem more "north-south" bags as opposed to the medium, small and mini, which are "east-west" bags. East -west have always been my favorite silhouette. Plus, I hear the opening of the micro and nano, especially the nano are a problem for some people. Just something to consider.
I feel you on that. I have several mediums but find myself getting the small in brighter colors (have small salmon and small fucshia on the way). The slate looks beautiful from the pics I've seen but never seen in person. I bet it looks even better in person.
@@KimmiesKloset85 I hope so. Because I am going through my "covid gray" hair transition and i think my light taupe bag might be clashing with my new salt and pepper hair. I may have to sell it. But I'm still on the fence because it's so beautiful and in pristine condition. I mainly use my navy for work (I wear navy scrubs everyday) and my natural for weekends. My light taupe is my newest bag and I only used it on social occasions. Needless to say, it wasn't used much. I actually had bought a Medium slate online, but the seller sent me Steel Blue. Apparently she didn't realize the color of the bag even though the tags were still on it that said STEEL BLUE. I kept it, but could only find the slate in small and it was the LAST one on qvc. So, we'll see. I know they have other gray bags light elephant and gray. But they did grab me like the slate did. Elephant looks like it has some brown in it and gray looks like a "meh" medium gray. To me, Slate looks like a richer, medium to dark charcoal gray.
@@tigre9271 i would imagine the slate does look darker because i have steel blue in medium and from what I could tell they don't look THAT similar. I think the Navy looks beautiful but I have black already and the shades are too close. I think you should keep your light taupe bag (unless you go for ecru instead) thats the color I liked because it was light with some warmth to it. Some of these colors are hard to come by and I would hate for you to sell only to regret later. Hey would you mind send me some pics of your slate when you get it comparing it to the steel blue? The Dooney Florentine leather is what PREMIUM leather is supposed to be like. The look, feel, smell and even the sound it makes when you handle it is what I refer to as OLD MONEY luxe. Imo, you can't get that kind of sensorial satisfaction from any other brand.
This bag is my unicorn! However, I will never get it. I have one small Florentine satchel in the T Moro brown, and a mini satchel in Bone. The natural if my favorite, but I don’t use my bags to justify buying another one. I discovered I’m a tote and hobo person. I will continue thinking that the natural small Florentine satchel is the most gorgeous bag that ever existed, but is not for me. I hope you enjoy carrying your fabulous bag for many years. ❤️
Florentine is great! You mentioned they can get wet mine has gotten wet while some of the water marks went away they all did not. Florentine from my understanding is not suppose to get wet.

But you could always check prelove websites like poshmark. They have many beautiful colors available and there is a sale right now on the dooney and bourke website! 🥰💕
