I religiously wall charge, demolition charge, HEDP, and AT4 every bathroom I come across. Project Ares has HEDP grenades that can blow a small hole in a wall, it lets you shoot ‘em without getting close
This really feels like a level from the first DK called Gone in 60 Seconds. A team of 4 gets to a private island, immediately ‘pacify’ someone, and head in to capture an HVT.
Oh just to add on, I wonder if that campaign button will be the same in the first game. Basically, if a unit dies, they’re dead. Forever. Once the campaign is over, You get a new unit, back to square one. So if you mess up on one mission, you could lose the units you’ve been working with all this time.
@@Not_a_b-1_Battle_Droid yeah they said they'll add an optional Iron Man mode like in the original DK, so when you start a mission you can retry it as long as you want but if you exit out of it or complete it with a casualty, that casualty gets replaced by a new trooper.
I realize the tactics you teach in these videos is serious business and the knowledge was accumulated over the blood, sweat, and lives of actual soldiers on the battlefield. So I don't want to diminish any of this knowledge by only commenting on its worth to games. Thanks for giving us this window into the real risks faced by soldiers and operators and showing us how they view and navigate their surroundings. But as a gamer, I want to say that your Door Kickers series has really increased the enjoyment I get out of video games. FPS games have been my favorites for a long time but I always sucked and felt like people shot me from random directions. After watching your Door Kicker series and applying what I've learned, I'm finally getting above 1.0 K/D consistently, my team is more survivable, and Hardcore modes have become my favorite. You've added a whole new dimension of gameplay and enjoyment to these games. Thank you!! And hope to see more Door Kickers content on this channel!!
im really happy to see you coming back to this game! I think this update was cool, though im looking forward for multilevel maps. DK2 is becoming more and more polished which is good. Btw you make awesome videos, i was just cheking out your "pro teaches noob cqc" video.
@@12sleep23 im sorry to hear that. Im speaking on my behalf, the more complex maps we could have, the more fun we would have with this game. Still its a good game, don't get me wrong, just its a bit sad it remains a 2d battlefield
@@njknpc9459 to clarify, they didn't say that they aren't gonna add it, they said that they are not planning to add it currently, maybe they will change their mind after the end of early access
I missed the glorious combination of this game and your tactical insight and structural approach and so my heart might have skipped a beat when I saw "DOOR KICKERS 2" next to your channel name! Awesome!
Hey man, great shit!! One tip: when you are pulling security, we’ll use the initial breach from the north as an example, your security man is too close to the door and has his weapon lowered. If you back him off just a hair, you’ll get that fast react that you want. Ive died too many times thinking i had a muzzle ready when i really didnt Glad to DK2 content, this is my favorite game❤
And that's where the 'weapon mobility' stat comes into play, the better the weaponmobility, the less space a soldier needs to raise his weapons around walls and doors!
THAT WAS AN ACCIDENT? I dealt with mine from more than a safe distance but having the walls no longer existing about 3m from the only place i hadn't seen yet, knowing 2 hvts to exist was a worrying experience. Really fun update, I played all 5 maps with going in blind on and although I 3*ed the first try there were definitely a lot of fun and surprising moments
My one and only major issue with this game is that when an enemy supresses fire on a wooden door, the door just stops all of the bullets. I have taken DShK fire whilst behind these doors and its blocked it all. 12.7×108mm VS A FREAKING WOODEN DOOR. Also I wish more enemies started shooting at fatal funnels when you trigger the room, just to make flashing it a bit more incentivised. Epic game though, 114 hours and its still my favourite strategy game.
could I recommend looking at the mod "Nowheraki Ground Force - as enemy", it adds enemies with a bit more challenge who are more willing to counter attack against your unit with full force such as grenades and flashbangs leading to a far more dynamic game
I was looking at this game. It’s in my library and haven’t played in forever. But then I thought “Man Pappa Controlled Pairs hasnt made a video in a bit”
Wouldn't be a Controlled Pairs DK2 video if he didn't step foot in the bathroom throughout the entire mission :D (obviously you didn't need to in this case, thankfully)
I recommend you should check out this VR game called "Breachers". It's a 5v5 tactical shooter, very similar to the likes of CS:GO or Rainbow 6 Siege, but in VR. I love it, and I think you'd enjoy it!
During the beginning of that clear of the large open room, that crossfire between your guy and the dude holding the window was sketchy, but I guess shit happens.
iirc if you scroll down while on the armor selection screen, there are raid vests which should get you up to 8 mobility while retaining same level of protection to the front and rear
around 22:20 you seemed to have trouble finding the "wait until clear" thing a few times. There's a really nice shortcut for this, shift+click on a soldier will do that automatically so you don't need to struggle to find it
Great run! Honestly made the same assessment u did where the likely avenue of approach for the QRF would be. However splitting the teams that small was ballsy as f lol. I came hard and fast with all 4 guys from northern end with lots of flashbangs then split in the middle to secure the escape point Luckily the hvts were already outside when the s vest went off indoors cause they responded to the noise up north
Very dynamic play, there. Really balancing that one on the edge. Like it! I think, Drummer already squeezed a round in the second true believer (24:34). I would’ve pushed, but good call.
Great to see another Door Kickers video, I've been playing for a while and its nice to see another update. Wish they would add more weapons to unlock however.
You're channel got me into this game and now i have like 600 hours in it. THE BEST tip I have is be very deliberate when you draw unit paths. It's probably 5 seconds slower than haphazardly dragging, but I find the missions go drastically better doing this
Nice tactics... Hello from IDF. Every time I was thinking "you don't do that in the real life", you mentioned that next sentence... :) Still some arguable points, but overall - good job!
Hey. You know there is ton of new interesting factions on Nexus, right? All the cool things like US Army or Marine rifle platoons, CIA with Peshmerga squads or Rangers with mortars and CAS jets. You should check those out if you haven't yet, they can give much more new, interesting playthroughs. Just got to have 2 saves so that it doesn't corrupt your vanilla COOP one.
Bro why did you have dudes to the south holding so long. You could have had them holding from the south eastern edge of the building while still watching that back gate. And you could have had your inside guys one watching the that front door from the open area and the side doors. In a real scenario all of them would have been dead all that back tracking you were doing smh.
Bought the game last night and played 6 of the missions from FNGS WELCOME not included the last one (Killing Time). My opinion is the game is BETTER than the first one but they still have a lot to work in the game since it's still EA. The thing is i would rather wait until they fully release the game (v1.0) and fully perfect the game mechanics. BETTER WAIT for now.
This game became much easier once I learned the utility of stingers. They're mostly to flush bad guys out and scare them into movement. You don't need to go hunting, sometimes you can just flush and funnel them. One of the Indian missions, the one with 50 dudes in a garage, I never even peeked them, I just stood in the halls around the corners and let them run into me.
So far I do like all the updates since this early release was available. The sync movement is my favourite addition with this update. Makes me really hyped for the campaign. Also I'm looking forward for future mods; weapon types, equipment etc.
