This MV was everything we needed! Mingy was not on the first version of the song on Kingdom, as he was away on "hiatus". I saw on Twitter that the book Mingi is reading is about morality, so it's like their morals and beliefs are what protected them and made them strong; Also, this song was teased at the end of Fireworks and first released towards the end of Kingdom and appeared at the end of Eternal Sunshine as well, and this version seems to have added traditional instruments to the instrumental! Mingy's inclusion was so thoughtful and emotionally emotional as a bullied student but had superpowers that united all gangs. Yeosang was stuck somewhere else and instead of the normal nice yeosang coming back, hala yeosang came and he's pretending to be a normal yeosang, he also symbolizes peace here, that's why when he came they stopped fighting and started dancing together which also explains the bread thing because birds eat bread and they symbolize peace wow i have said yeosang so many times but yeah i hope it makes sense. ATEEZ THE LARGEST IN THE INDUSTRY, SOMEONE NOTICE?!, THANK YOU ATEEZ FOR THE WORK OF ART AND KISSES OF BRAZIL..💋👏👏💋💋🎽
The song: 멋 is a Korean word without a direct English equivalent--real, style, and cool are attempts to catch the meaning, but it has an underlying idea of honor, so it's about how what's really cool is to be humble and kind. The video: Appears to be based on Volcano High, a popular movie in 2001 about a transfer student with special powers who ends up at a school with warring factions who are trying to find a book of power. Ateez's twist--The book they find when they work together is essentially a book of morality, a book about 멋. (If you want more details watch Form of Therapy's reaction). This album has double title tracks. I'd love to see your reaction to the other title song, Turbulence. It's a thoughtful song with great vocals. Thanks for the reaction!
No one explained what the version was, and it's 흥 version. Heung is a concept of "joy, fun" and/or "prosperous". It's a reference to a lot of Korean traditional instrumentation heard in the song. Heung is a common concept in Korean traditional music, especially folk music which has a lot of fun percussion and tends of be extremely energetic.
