A tip I've seen ppl give on YT with shooting videos using manual focus or fixed focus lenses is to use a string or wire attached to your (moving) subject so that when it is in tension you know you're in focus.

My mom would use that as a vaccum cleaner.

Ideal for a colonoscopy. Even has lights for the dark innards!

There is one thing that people ignore the most : tech must not go itself , we must associate creativity too.

They use this lens alot in the making of Ant-man and its sequel. Marvel Studios made a whole new macro cinematography division for the movie!

Hey Marques, here's an idea: a compilation of all your best shots over the years (because there have many) in one video!

That keyboard shot with office style props and a guy in a suit could easily be a movie opener. Especially an 80s or 90s themed movie. Maybe about some guy who sticks it to the man, breaks out of the 9 to 5 grind and gets the girl.

Amazing, both the lens and the fact the comments have stayed so clean.

I think this would be perfect for scale models, the perspective of being a tiny person in a scale model city. just imagine taking this to Miniature Wonderland in Germany and all the amazing miniature scenes you could capture

I think with that marker shot I would have just attached the marker to the lens with a rubber band, with something wedged between them at the top so it isn't completely parallel, and then just write with the camera instead of holding them both separately

Fun fact: They film all of Ant-Man's quantum realm scenes with this lens.

I'd be interested in seeing shots that pivot the camera around the tip of the lens, like while inside a wide mouthed container, tilt the camera around the tip as if you were 'looking' around inside the container, Or like you do a forward sliding shot that pivots around the tip of the lens to end as a horizontal shot, or combining motions that keep the lens tip at the same distance from the target, but have the target and the lens moving linearly, but the camera is tilting or rotating relative to the target... So much is possible with the robot that you can't do with sildes/by hand!
