Hearing this song in the middle of a strong pace speedrun, while doing the elevator skip or just before it, nothing hits like it. Easily one of the best highlights of the whole game, and maybe the franchise as a whole for me xD
Absolutely agree. The only song that isn't a banger is Doppler 3/Sigma's level. X6 is second for me, then X1, then X2, and then the rest have like 2-3 good songs each
Never playing the game at first, I thought this was a Sigma battle song, and imagined the actual first fight. But when I realized it was a stage song, I'm was blown away it wasn't his song. Still a good one. Loved this soundtrack
This one, X's intro stage and Volt Catfish are the ones that really get me pumped. But really, I don't think there's a single bad tune on this entire soundtrack.
Love it. I am seeing the picture of first Doppler stage the most especially those memorable spikes from ceiling that try to stab through ur head and those wall that try to squeeze squeeze u 🤣. SNES version always bring joys for me while I shoot through enemies and see those traps mechanism of the stage that try to wasted u for good 🤣🤣🤣.
Was playing the collection and heard this. I played the roms back in the day and it was like I was hearing it for the first time. Looks like I just got better music taste
Lyrics: Elephant in the room Octopus of your doom Mavericks all over the place Sigma as the team ace! It's over its over Game is over! Its over its over Game is over! Now you will die! You can't survive *silence for 4 seconds* Now you will die! The world is in your hands But here you will drop it now! Who will win will find out nowww! * Repeats *
@kdoggaming4289 No, he had it right. He was referencing the bosses of the first two Doppler stages. Press Disposer, who you fight in stage 1 if both Bit and Byte were already killed before entering the Doppler stages, is loosely based on an elephant. And Volt Kurageil, who you fight in stage 2 if Vile was already killed, resembles an octopus.
If this soundtrack suffered from anything it all, it was that they used some pretty harsh sounding samples even though better quality ones were certainly available at the time. But compositionally speaking? Can't spot a single thing wrong with this OST. Immaculate...even if Neon Tiger's theme _was_ blatantly """inspired""" by GnR's song, My Michelle. XD
