Update: When asked about Gamma Dopplers on Twitter (X), the official Counter-Strike page replied with "Working on it". This means we could expect to see another update coming which again impacts how they look. Update 2: Valve have made quick changes to Dopplers & Marbles Fades, mostly seems fixed. gamma dopplers should not have been nerfed that much, I understand a decent amount but it should have been in the middle. In csgo the green stood out cause the background was mostly black and not shiney but in cs2 the shine and the purple make the green really hard to see so that should have been taken into account. They basically look like normal dopplers now with tiny bits of green

@@_TheLuckyGoat_ i agree they should look similar but the green is barely noticable because of source 2 so adjustments should have been made so the small bits of green are actually noticable. They have also made this change after 6 months without even stating their intention to change it back which is problem on its own

The only thing I can think of is that they now look a lot closer to how they did in CSGO, just now with CS2 lighting sprinked on top. It's super frustrating that it's taken them like 6+ months to push this update, as most people just assumed this was going to remain as the "new" gamma doppler style, but I guess long term they always wanted to have it look closer to how it did in CSGO.

Going back-and-forth with skin changes on CS2 is honestly abysmal for everyone. For the big investor they have so many items fluctuating in price, and for the average joe; no one wants to log into CS and see that their only knife randomly looks different, its so frustrating. They really need to figure out what they want changed and just commit. It would be really nice to hear valves cs team finally come out with a announcement saying “All skin changes are final, all old skins will now remain the same” … but knowing valve they wont do that.

It's 2am with me now and I have work in the morning, didn't have a chance to dive through them all. Dopplers were the first thing I spotted and wanted to cover. I'll dive through the rest tomorrow as also hearing Blue Steel BS has changed. Thanks for the heads up on marble fade changed

My P2 Butterfly Knife looks interesting, but I am unsure about the blade being purple (basically how the Black Pearl looked before this update) with a pink handle. It looks decent seeing as I have Vice gloves, but I like something about it... I just can't put my finger on it. That, or I am smoking pure copium. Have you seen the P2 Bowie Knife? It has a BROWN handle 💀

Tbf another guy in the discord was saying they actually quite like their P2 Stiletto cos it's a proper mix of pink and purple now and their loadout is a mix of both, so I think some will love and some will hate. Those that bought for a pure pink gem, will be hurting now I think. I'll need to check the Bowie tomorrow morning 😭😭

Yeah it's now a proper mix of pink and purple, so if you prefer that for mixed loadout of pink and purple, then it's actually a good update. I personally quite liked having a "pink gem" option before

the P2 gamma doppler looks NOTHING like it did in CSGO i bought a butterfly gamma doppler P2 because it was dark green with black in CSGO and now with this update its mainly blue with some green highlights it looks horrible. just look up a video of the butterfly gamma doppler P2 in CSGO and compare it to how it looks now. RUINED

It looks better for most black pearls as most are ordinary purple blades Unfortunately the rarest most beautiful most highly sought after most expensive blade, the black Pearl rainbow is still broken to this day, and it’s been 2 years.

I'm so lucky.. like 2 weeks before the phase 2 update I bought a M9 doppler phase 2 and now I sold it like 1 month ago because I wanted to go back to a butterfly.. bought a bfk lore and sold the M9 for a decent profit. Now they nerfed the shit out of the phase 2 again. but feel bad for everyone who wanted a doppler, spent a ton of money just to get fucked by this update

Yeah getting an Emerald now is actually like a big thing cos there's no fakes. Yeah overall I like the idea of the renting skins, just need to see how it impacts pricing for Kilowatt, but more importantly the first case that has it from day 1

so your paying 130€ or something to use these skins for year and after that you have -130€ and no skins while if you buy those skins after one year you can still make some money back. So on long term i mutch raither still buy skins than rent them

Yes I still suggest people spend that £130 to build their own loadout, but before the case release, I don't think you could have got everything in the Kilowatt case for £130 unless you went bull battle scarred, even then it's tight
