I saw her in New York City in 2014 or 2015 (more likely) at the Philippine Independence Day celebration, and I also thought her voice was spectacular. It was every bit as good as in her younger years in the 80s. She has taken care of her voice and, as well, has been blessed with the capacity to retain it.

This is a genuinely heartbreaking performance , and this will hit hard lalo na kung batang 80's ka, growing up with Sharon Cuneta and Cherie Gil tandem movies. Silang dalawa ang bida-kontrabida partner na talagang kikirot sa iyong puso with their movies tackling about love, triumph, good, evil but most importantly forgiveness.

What a TV moment. ASAP made the best choice of leaving the tribute to these three icons. (Zsa zsa & Regine sang Sana'y Wala Ng Wakas together before this.) (Sharon did well vocally with the Probinsyano farewell tribute last week and this week too. Always glad seeing her perform. ASAP should invite her to perform more often. Here, even while crying, boy was the Megastar siiinging.) Cherie Gil went away so soon; she could have tackled more roles and starred in more movies and shows. Cherie was a singer too. I hope Cherie's passing makes Filipinos kinder, more gracious towards older, accomplished artists (inc. these 3 singer-actresses).

I literally grew up a sharonian because of my mom. So bata pa lang ako dorina at lavinia na ang pinapanuod namin sa vhs na paulit ulit na nirerentahan kahit mapenalty. And bata pa lang ako yung ending scene ng bituing walang ningning always brings tears to my eyes. Seeing this now, haay.... Mas nakakaiyak...

One of my all-time favorites. I never get tired watching Bituin Walang Ningning, I think I watched it a hundred times. I even had a chance to follow and read it from the start til it ended from Aliwan Komiks (or Pilipino Komiks), can't remember which one 😁) during the 80s before they made it to the big screen.
