Dorinda Clark-Cole is a prominent American gospel singer, songwriter, musician, talk show host, and evangelist. She is best known as a member of the family vocal group The Clark Sisters and as a daughter of the pioneering choral director Mattie Moss Clark. She has won two Grammy Awards and several other accolades for her music and ministry. She began singing at an early age with her sisters Karen, Twinkie, Jacky, and Denise under the guidance of their mother, who taught them discipline and how to use their gifts. Dorinda is known as the “jazzy sister” of the group, with a fiery, convicting singing style that features high and fast melismas, riffs, runs, scats, and soulful growls. She is also an ordained evangelist who preaches the gospel with passion and power.
