After having worked as the Director of Students for Free Tibet’s (SFT) India and Asia chapter for a number of years, in 2017, Dorjee Tseten was appointed as the Executive Director of the world-wide Tibet support youth organization. “Mainly due to SFT relentless campaign and lobbying efforts in the last two years, we were able to shut-down 23 Confucius Institute in the United States”, says Dorjee to VOA. He also says that under his leadership, SFT was able to revive many dormant student’s chapter bodies in the United States and Europe. “China’s influence and pressure tactics around the world continues to pose a major challenge to all the Tibet campaigners and campaign organizers”, he added.

We are grateful for all your effective activities to serve Tibet issues . We really need active politicians like you , besides , you speaks several languages : Tibetan , English , indien , you do not need a translater wherever you go abroad . Whenever you take part to debate in Tibetan parlement you always sound very sincere and straight forward which is quite rare quality nowadays . Therefore , we need this kind of quality : Vision , moral ethic , active and altruism .. We hope you will go on on this wisdom path .Anyway , we take this opportunity to thank you for serving the cause of Tibetan of Tibet since so many years . Bögyalo ! 🙏👏🍀🕊

I am admirer of you for longer time. Not only that you are a leader of SFT, you are articulate with a lot of common sense. I also think you are role model as a member (Chitue) of assembly of Tibetan People's Deputies. But in recent time something (in my opinion) went wrong with you as a Chitue. I wonder if you have a strong belief in our politics of regionalism or because of peer pressure you had to do as you did but you think it's better to return to your "original self" as and when tension of regionalism calms down.
