As a college student, I think this series is a great idea!! One tip I've found super helpful is instead of putting holes into your tapestry, hang it with clothespins and stick them onto the wall with command strips.
I dont need a headboard but MAN that weaving makes me want to make a bunch of those just for decoration around our apartment! You could do different sizes too. It looks so pretty and simple!
Danielle Ike mostly anything that “floats” is gonna need to be stabilized by being drilled into the wall, which is a total bummer because I feel you on the space thing!! They sell nightstands that go over the side of the bed - maybe they can try to make one of those?!
command photo shelves work for small items like your phone or an alarm clock. check out most stores’ college sections for a shelf that attaches to the bed frame.
what does having an iron has to do with anything? not everyone wears button downs, not everyone cares. sometimes (a lot of times actually) an iron is more hassle than it's worth. especially in a small dorm room or apartment
I am sooooo in for this series! Yessssss. Please do a art episode. Not art installation like you've done already but like good, covers large space, framed artwork. Art is soooo damn expensive. 😫
The series is a great idea and I love the woven one! However the other two ones I wouldn't consider headboards, even if you gave it a wider meaning. I mean, I could hang a poster and have the same effect. Still cute, just not really what one would expect clicking on this video.
@@abbym3552 Another hack could be some thing which have pockets to put at side or at the place of head board. Like what Kelsey made could have pockets. Just that door is bothering me. ☺
Yesssss, that woven picture frame one was amazing! Not a fan of the other two personally but I did get some inspo from them and I like the cheap prices. 👍🏽 For the fabric one I would’ve chosen a more interesting colour and tried a mandala design. Plus the fabric was a little see through, so it would’ve been better to double it over. But still, great inspo!
I’ve got a bunk bed with a couch underneath in my dorm. I would like something cool to cover up the downside of the mattress. Wondering if you girls head any great ideas 😃
Niels Janssens I know I’m not them, but when I had this problem I bought fabric (if you see if your seller has off cuts it will be even cheaper) in the colours of my room, and some fairy lights cos I found it was so dark under there and wove them all in through the bars to cover the slats, get a bit of light and it would match your colour scheme. 😊
ahhh it's amazing!!!! I love the flowers so much and the picture frame leather headboard, I'm definitely going to make one of these!!!! Can't wait to see more episodes of the series!
euphoriapotion you could combine the two! I actually think the woven frame is perfect for putting other stuff on it, redecorate every season or whenever the mood strikes
I had a cool piece of fabric hung on my wall as a “headboard” in college ❤️ I also once “painted” our common room wall by taping up strips of crepe paper to cover the entire wall.
The blue and white headboard would be absolutely adorable to hang pictures in the grid even as a display piece instead of a headboard or even as the headboard.
Hey I hung a picture using those hooks but after a few months it sort of peeled apart so the glue part was still on the wall and the hook + picture fell off. I haven't wanted to put anything up using those again :/
Yes! I love this series idea, thanks so much for listening to us about doing diys without fancy power tools. :) I'm college age and I live in a condo, not a dorm, but videos like these are still super helpful because it gives me inspiration and ideas on how to tackle a project without expensive tools.
Love the floating flowers. I'd use them as an accent for sure. And even cheaper, ask your relatives if you're making it - I guarantee you a lot of them have fake flowers for years that they want rid of!!!! Sound that fog horn - another freebie. The woven leather one on the other hand - OH MY FREAKIN GAWD - it's fab. Love it. Aw guys, my daughter has the biggest nightmare of a bedroom to decorate. She's now a teen and started high school and needs room for study. I wish you guys were able to help out with suggestions on what to do. Her room is a tiny box room with a big protrusion in one corner of it. Total nightmare. But I'm in Ireland so I'll keep watching for inspiration instead. Dying to see what you do with the painting you took out of the frame. It's lovely. Please don't paint over it. I'll send you the postage costs to save it....... Keep up the good work lassies. Love what you do.
The last one was 👌 I wish I could have thought of that when I needed a headboard. Now I have a wooden one standing on the floor, but I work and look good 😃
I really like the woven one for an art piece.👍 The headboard for my dorm room was a extra large flat'ish pillow that I made borrowing my mom's sewing machine. ✂️ Used yarn to tie a grid like an old quilt. 📌Tacked it to the wall, looked like it was padded☺
Great series! I also like the idea of maybe looking at some of the previous Sorry Girls DIYs that may have been more complicated or required more tools and giving them a College Try. 👍
