This is so helpful...not much about the dorms on the websites! Is there still a dresser or just the one built into the closet? Old pictures had a dresser too, but I don't see it in your room. Was your chair included and would you say it needed a chair pad? And lastly, did you get curtains for your room or was it dark enough?
There aren’t dressers in broward but I think there are a few dorms on campus that do still have them. The chair was included and I just put a blanket over it and I would recommend at least doing that because they aren’t the most comfortable in my opinion. We didn’t get curtains because there were already blinds on the windows that covered everything. Hope that helped!
Thank you for the video! It is very helpful! Where did you buy exactly those drawers? I was looking at Bed Bath and Beyond, but didn’t see exactly like on your video! Thank you again!🌺

My roommate bought the rug but I'm pretty sure it was 5x8 or a similar size to that. It covered all the space between our beds without taking up too much room.
It's currently unavailable, but here is the link in case that changes www.amazon.com/gp/product/1635440912/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
hi ! i’m hoping to go to uf next fall & i’m interested in broward hall & just wanted to know it’s vibes ? like is it noisy (love that) , do people spend a lot of time there , are most rooms in the hall like this one ? & would you recommend broward over jennings ?
Hi! So unfortunately my room was on the ground floor which was extremely dead compared to all of the other floors because we didn’t have a common room and weren’t connected to other wings. A lot of the floors had a girls wing and guys wing and they connected in the middle for a shared kitchen area and from what I’ve heard those floors were very lively and social. The rooms all look very similar, the dimensions are slightly different in each one but the furniture is all the same. I’d definitely recommend Broward over Jennings because (as far as I know) it was renovated more recently. I think Jennings has some mold issues but I never had any problems like that in Broward. It’s definitely one of the nicest UF dorms when you look at living conditions. Good luck in the fall!!
Can I ask your opinion on sharing a fridge? Was there enough room for both of you to use it? was it ideal? also if you could link the amazon page for the rack you used, I can only find ones with like a lip that would prevent the microwave from being opened. thank you so much for this video
Hi! Sharing a fridge wasn't bad at all I pretty much always felt like there was enough room. My roommate bought the rack so I'm not sure of the exact product but it was basically identical (if not the same exact rack) to this one on amazon: www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-5-Shelf-Shelving-Unit-Black/dp/B018YLFJX4/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=storage+rack&qid=1622573382&s=home-garden&sr=1-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyQUVKMkhIRTE4UDRYJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDE5MjIzMkVNTEcwOVhKUkpaMyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMzE2NTM3M0VGU0lQU0NVWkMzOSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
My roommate bought the shelf but it is similar to this one (if not the exact same one): www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-5-Shelf-Shelving-Unit-Black/dp/B018YLFJX4/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=storage+rack&qid=1622573382&s=home-garden&sr=1-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyQUVKMkhIRTE4UDRYJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDE5MjIzMkVNTEcwOVhKUkpaMyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMzE2NTM3M0VGU0lQU0NVWkMzOSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
Would you be willing to give us the dimensions of the hutch? My daughter will be living in North Hall (assuming she has the same desk/cabinet) and we want to build her one- love yours! Thank you!
I think it was a little over 3 feet because each stacking drawer was 10 inches tall and there was at least half a foot of space above them under the bed
My roommate bought it but I think it was this one (she got it from costco though): www.danby.com/en-us/products/compact-refrigerators-en-us/dcrd042c1bssdb/
I originally planned to have space for textbooks in my hutch on my desk, but ended up not having any physical textbooks because my classes were mostly online and the textbooks were all accessible to us that way. A lot of school supplies that I used on the daily like my planner/notebooks usually stayed in my backpack because I would take them to other places on campus to study
@@AayeshaMIslam A lot of times professors will provide you with a link. There's also lots of free books on libgen. I only had to buy a textbook for one class and that was because the website the book was on was also used for us to submit projects. It is pretty rare to have to buy a book and most of them can be found online for free if you really look for them.
