The Dornier 328 JET OY-NCP is seen taking-off from Bern in Switzerland bound for Liverpool. Sun-Air of Scandinavia carries the British Airways livery.
The Dornier D328jet is a medium-range, twin-engine jet manufactured by Dornier Aircraft Corporation. First flown in 1998, the aircraft was produced until 2002. A total of number of110 D328jet were delivered during the production run.
The D328jet is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306B engines with 6,000 lbf thrust each. The Dornier 328 has a maximum speed of 750 km/h / 400 kn. The range is 2,740 km / 1,700 mi. The service ceiling is 11,000 m / 35,000 ft. The cabin can accommodate up to 32 passengers in a 2-2 layout. The D328jet can be operated from short and even unprepared runways, allowing operators to use small airfields.

Love this..I need to fly on one of these. Reminds me a little of the BAE 146 sharing the high over fuselage wing..but smaller and with just 2 engines. Cool 👌

Very cool.. Love the livery of the British Airways planes.. It's awesome when a huge, BA "Airbus A380" goes right over my house at about 12,000 ft after leaving SFO on its way to London. Sometimes they track right overhead and I'll go outside and watch them fly by. 🙂

You're absolutely right! It's a shame that many cool aircraft like the Dornier D328 jet are no longer in production. The Dornier D328 jet was a versatile and efficient aircraft known for its short takeoff and landing capabilities. It had a cruising speed of approximately 350 knots (400 mph) and a range of around 1,000 nautical miles (1,150 miles)! Thank you for your comment! 🛩️✈️
