Because you picked on that: As young as she still looks in that live performance, she has already 10 years of performances under her belt in 1993. Her original band Warlock was a big thing here in Germany during the 80's and their songs "All we Are" and especially "Für immer" belong to greatest metal hymns created in the 80's. And that all at a time when female voices in metal were a rather rare thing. I was a huge fan back then but I haven't listened to her that much in recent years, because I was busy exploring different genres of metal. If there's one thing I really admire about her is that 40 years later, she still has that youthful energy she burst on the scene in 1982. She is truly the Queen of Metal and ever will be.
I saw Warlock in London 1985. The show is on the Live In London DVD. I also saw her on her 30th anniversary tour in London and she very kindly signed my 1985 DVD. Lovely lady and almost amazed that people have followed her entire career
I saw her with her band Warlock with Fates Warning in 1987. She was freaking awesome!!! I remember everyone one in the crowd was just staring at her when she come out on the stage, but went wild when the music started, and she started singing. She fucking rocked it!!!!!!
I can't believe she is still at it, I remember Warlock in the early 80"s and she was dominating the stage then. She truly is the Queen as she has lasted almost 40 years and still sounds great. She has lasted longer than some of my friends marriages (LOL)!!!! Great song as you really get the attitude in the performance she is known for and clearly all the great female singers in metal all have her as an early idol who they all followed into this genre. Great reaction and much like Show-Ya these women continue to rock into their "mature" years and sound better and often rock harder than groups half their age!!!!
Her voice is so recognizable, there's no one else who sounds like that. She looks amazing, had her picture in my music notebook at school :) The whole album is great, this is like the 5th best song on the album...
around that time, beginning of the nineties doro played at the city fest of my hometown in germany and when she left the stage a guy in the front shouted: "doro,i wanna be your groupie!" she stopped and answered: "be careful what you wish for, that s a really hard job"
Early Doro was Hell of Fun. The time where she didnt cared about singing, how to pronounce words in english etc. Good i miss this time.... Doro Pesch is a German Iconic that made me laugh for ages now. She is pure Power True and .. a real Nice Person. seen her 4 times live. Through decades... and she got better and better. Her Music through the early 2000s is ... well :D Questionable but she never gave up... even through the 2000 years where metal was nearly NON Existent.... She made her LPs. God i love this Woman so much... :DD
This aong was originally done by her previous band which she started called Warlock in 83 bur this track is off the Triumph And Agony Disc in 88' ..Warlock's Debut qas in 84 called Burning The Witxhes : which is a awesome disc
You need to react to Doro & Tarja - Walking With The Angels (One of their duets from the Doro album Fear No Evil, which they have also performed live together. The other one is The Seer, that can be found on Tarja's The Seer (EP).)
OMG, I saw Doro live in Cologne 1993 where the livealbum of the "Angels never die tour" was recorded. It was fuckin awesome. Doro had such a power on stage (and she still has)
My biggest dream is to hear Floor sing this song,in 93 i had allready listen to Dorotie for 5 years but something happen to her voise in the beginning of 2000,you can hear iy in love me in black
I freaking love doro have tons of her music but the real queen of metal is still Wendy I williams .she's hard core back to the late seventy til her death .check her out on her on or with the plasmatics
She is german, leave us at least her since the Dutch have already sooo many goddesses in symphonic metal 😉 Also she is just only a few days older than me.
