I’m a Respiratory Therapist, aerosolized procedures are not just limited to intubation and bronchoscopy. It includes breathing treatments which are commonly given to patients with shortness of breath every 4 hours. These are AIRBORNE PATIENTS, healthcare workers SHOULD NOT be going into these rooms on droplet precautions alone!

As a healthcare provider (Ravi Peiris M.D.) let me say this, Dr. Drew is spot on about over-reacting with over reaching solutions. Realize that what we are going through, especially as it pertains to the healthcare system, will be more a test of political ideology than the healthcare system. Republicans didn't want the affordable care act as they wanted to use the monies instead for a tax break for corporations than fund the affordable care act - Mick Mulvaney actually admitted as much just few months back.

Don't think people are really hoarding toilet paper as bad as one thinks. Toilet paper just takes a lot of space. If someone grabs 3 packs it could put a large dent in the shelf.

Why aren't hospotals using germicidal light (UltravioletC) to sanitize used PPE so they can re-use it?

I was almost fired from my first job for listening to loveline

People in my town don't give a shit about it and it's infuriating. I'm pregnant, have graves disease and am terrified. I am losing friends over this because they are going to large parties and going to the stores every day. I would gladly stay home and self isolate but my job is requiring that I come in to work. Everyone in my town thinks this is just like the common flu and not a big deal and they don't care. I had to get rid of Facebook because everyone was still going out and it was making me sick. What do we do about these assholes? They will have a party at all cost.
