@@hobes6845 tbh, after watching a lot of them, they are pretty dramatic and over the top sometimes. But that’s part of why they’re so great, it’s truly meant to engage the viewer, and it’s almost never done in a cheap way.
Let's be honest, we all know how the vast majority of Indian movies are. Sure there might be more serious ones, but with all honesty they will never get the respect they deserve because of the name the other movies are giving the whole country. I personally dislike Indian movies but I might give this one a try just because you said it's good.
@@TheHatShallDie The first half of RRR was a cinematic masterpiece. Every single shot was like a well composed photograph full of undisguised symbolism that still felt like a part of the scene. The second half was definitely something that was at some point committed to film, kind of felt like it was done by a different crew. It didn't rhyme like the first half in my opinion. It felt more like a justification for funding and a way to tie the first half's excellent story to the legend that the movie's story is ultimately about. Also the quality of camerawork and everything else took a steep drop in the second half. The end credits song probably made indian patriots happy though. The first half is about a part of the story that has not been recorded in history so the writers could really shine unrestrained and what they created there is probably the most heartfelt depiction of friendship I ever saw in a movie. It is also an excellent example of the film making craft.
