Double Bazookas Vs Dipoles up in the trees of Austin Texas 

I have lot of dipols. I also have a 10 meter double bazooka and a 40 meter one. The double bazooka does not under for any dipol. Except it has a much lower noise floor. You can't screw up the SWR. You can trow it to the ground and even then make great contacts with it. They are broadband which can be handy so i can use for example 10 and 11 meters with the same antenna. Mine is resonant 1:1 on 11 and 1:1.5 on 10. Good antenna's nothing wrong with. I like them.

Where's the comparison? Double bazooka is nice for a single band and seem to be quieter. OCF offers better use over more bands. It's all about what you want. Compromise is apart of any system that is away from the normal single band dipole.

Both are dipoles if you are comparing a halfwave wire to a bazooka. There is zero difference other than the Bazooka may be slightly quieter and have a little more BW. The Bazooka is simply a stub fed dipole. The coax sections match the feed impedance at where it’s tapped. This may offer a cleaner pattern and greater BW.

Apples and oranges both are different . Double Bazooka monoband - quiet - higher gain direct fed. Off center band dipole multi band harmonic antenna requires a 4 to 1 balun and a lot more noise Both work but the double bazooka ot performs at its mono band frequency like a full wave loop no static
