Purple Coil has a nice synergy with the Iri Coil, it covers the Iri's weakness. Most people who get injured from the Iri will then go " oh, I should disarm more traps whilst I'll receive no penalty for doing so!", not realising they're literally allowing the Trapper to track them perfectly through the Purple Coil. Turns the Iri Coil counterplay into a mistake waiting to happen, I like it.

I use the green coil and the add on to walk over traps, the amount of dead hards, and trying to disarm my trap punishments I got was perfect

If you're looking for add-on recommendations, try the green setting tools with the coffee grounds. You place a trap at a pallet to avoid getting stunned, finish trapping the pallet, then zoom around to the other side and catch the survivor. Keep up the great work Otz!

I have been absolutely LOVING double bar combination with a backpack build. The iri bar which sets the traps back is always amazing, but having the purple bar that downs survivors who escape the trap along with the iron grasp, star struck, agitation, and mad grit build to just carry them around creates some seriously funny blunders from the survivors. Ive personally had a ton of fun with it

Otz I’ve got basement trapped 2.0. The addons are the brown add on where if you step on a trap you don’t step in it but it disarms, and iredesident stone. The idea is to put impossible traps at the entrances and when you walk through them they won’t go off, and iredesident stone rests it. Agitation, iron grasp, are perks you could use, but you don’t have to. Thanks otz for being such a great dbd content creator.

Trapper tip: You can pick up trapped survivors directly instead of hitting them, saving a few seconds. This also negates the negative effect of Padded Jaws a lot of the time. A funny trapper build I like to use is iri coil + padded jaws. There's something silly about the survivors taking more damage from disarming the trap instead of stepping in it.

Man I'm loving the trapper changes so so so much. One of the add ons that honestly kinda blows my mind on how good it is, is the silent setting traps. It doesn't sound so impactful until you use it, but when I did I got like three snaps in the first two minutes, I couldnt believe it, they had no idea I already set up. Would love to see what diabolical build you can come up using that one lol.

My favorite build with the new Add-ons is the purple bag that starts you with all the traps and the add-on that resets them every 30 seconds. I pick an area I want to protect and go on from there.

My current favorite trapper build is Coffee Grinds and Fastening Tools. it makes the initial setup much faster, and lets you use traps during chase faster as well.

I did a double coil build a few weeks back before the changes on RPD, but it was Oily coil and Secondary Coil, it was hilarious because I could turn half the map where 4 gens were into 1 giant walkway that could not be looped and it worked like ✨magic✨

I'm so glad they buffed trapper mainly because I enjoy watching otz play as him, and I know he felt burnt out by him for quite a while so seeing him enjoy trapper again is really fun!

I'm a big fan of the iridescent stone and the coffee grinds combo. You'll randomly get haste, mid chase sometimes, and when the random traps get set in open areas, survivors will often disarm them, giving you another haste effect in 30 seconds.

Outstanding videos. You are by far one of, if not my favorite content creator.

Hey Otz. This is friends. I heard about this build which combines the coffee grounds add on and the irisdescent stone. Every thirty seconds a trap will reset itself and you get a free 5% speed boost. Place them in annoying areas so they will keep disarming it. Become speed Trapper.

Great video otz! Enjoyed it from start to finish. What would you say is a good way to counter Circle of Healing? Because having used it on the survivor side and been again multiple survivors with it in a match multiple times, I feel like it's not very fair of a perk. I've had at least 4 matches I shouldn't have escaped but Circle of Healing was basically a survivor sided NOED and let me get out.

I've been trying an endgame build that's had some pretty good results in most matches I've tried it in. Still perfecting it and do want to try since the latest update because some timing seems like it was off on the iri addon I use for this build. Iri Stone Oily Coil Blood Warden No Way Out Remember Me Starstruck I trap the gates ASAP, then begin hunting people down. The sooner I can get my RM stacks and remove the obsession, the better. It's a bit of a harder build on the big maps, but even then, only one has gotten away in those matches. But yeah, it's a simple endgame build but it's effective for sure.

Ggs Otz! Pleasure as always to watch you work and hear your thoughts on addons/perks. I've been enjoying Oily Oil today too. Saw some aura, really helped, but then the next 3 games were against Shadow Step boon totems and I didn't see any aura's from BBQ or Oily Oil at all :( Big Sad. I tried an Undying to help combat the Boon Totems and that did help me catch them mid-bless. Any thoughts on how to combat the new Boon Meta?

Theres a few places on the large gen doors that open where the trap is completely invisible, if you place it on the track the door slides over it will sit in the doors floor collider and be just under the floor on meat plant.

Blood favour on Meat Plant is pretty nice. Won me a game a few days ago

Otz, I absolutely love DBD gameplay vids. Is there any chance you can post (mostly) unedited gameplay on a different channel or something? Maybe even VODs, honestly I wouldn't even care if it was bad games or absolutely great games. Same with any other game that isn't DBD. Sekiro, etc

I'm having so much fun with 5.3 Trapper. I really like the Lengthened Jaws + Trapper Gloves. Just (throwing down sneaky traps (30% faster) that people wander into, and of they get caught, I can not worry about catching them, because the Deep Wounds slows them down for another good handful of time, especially if they feel like they need to not mend right next to the trap they just escaped from.

Just bought the game cant wait to try it!!!!

Hey Otz, quick take for a build idea with Bloody Coil Hex:Blood Favor to block all pallets nearby after they get injured from the disarming the trap Hex:Undying keep Hex:Blood Favor up a little longer Pop/Ruin/Corrupt: any of your choice to slow the game down The last perk, I’m not so sure. You could probably even exchange undying. Same goes for the last add on choice.

I call it Bless This!! All Hex Build Undying/Ruin/Thrill of the Hunt/Haunted Ground Using Honing Stone and Iri Stone Trap all 5 totems. Hopefully before any get Blessed/Cleansed. Since it takes 32 seconds to Bless a Hex totem with Thrill and the Iri Stone resets randomly every 30 seconds As long as you don't get two traps disarmed at the same time, you will catch the survivor as they finish Blessing, assuming they didn't get caught in the trap before, and freed themselves and went down. I have faced Boon totems every match since release and this a strategy I thought might be pretty effective.
