We arrived in Nongriat village where the famous double-decker living root bridge of Meghalaya is located. After resting at the homestay we set out to explore the village and trekked from the root bridge to the mesmerizing rainbow falls.

Oh my gosh, watching this video brings back all the fun memories from my trip to Meghalaya! I saw this super cool double-decker bridge and Rainbow waterfall. It was like a dream! The Orange Jacket Adventures Team especially Mr Vyashakh made my trip super special. He usuallly say, it's not about place, it's people. It really stayed with me.

I joined one of their tour to Meghalaya back in 2019. The best thing about that trip was the guide Vyashakh himself. I loved the energy of that guy.

Wow! Thanks Darshan for bring out such beautiful gems of Meghalaya to the world. Would love to visit the Rainbow waterfall sometime. The suspension bridge with the roots are actually a new root bridge in creation. In the earlier times they used to use beetle nut tree trunks to train the roots to grow across the stream, now the steel cables would give better support. Also, no more maintenance of the bridge for hundreds of years, once the root bridge is completed. Thank you once again for sharing information about other treks too. Can wait to see the coming videos. Looks like you did work on the video. 😁 It was much soothing and with more natural sounds, the experience was even more realistic, you took us viewers to the place. 🍻

It was such a long trail to reach the water fall and the root bridge ! But it’s an adventure for us encounter with different species and local khasi people! They are down-to -earth ! Miss my hometown 🪵🎍🌿🌱🌳☘️🪨🍂🍃🌦

I was there too I began trekking from Tyrna to Nohkalikai it was one of a hell trek because by the time I reached to Nohkalikai it was dark, me along with my friends had to literally crawl as we couldn't see the path. Luckily it was a full moon night we managed and somehow we reached to the top of the mountain 😅. But enjoyed it thoroughly... Just wanted to share my experience here. Your vlog has reminded me of that time again thank you and keep up the good work bro 🥰

This is the reason why the khasi tribe has to be protected and the sixth scheduled which is the shield of the tribe because if we dont have the khasi people we won't be seeing culture interwoven with nature. True n genuine Khasi tribe loves keeping nature clean and beautiful.

Yes, you can book any homestay after reaching. Serene is probably the best and the biggest. I don't have their contact info.
