I love how it seems like it takes longer for a baseball bat to kill a guy than your fists lol. I was a kid when this game came out originally but I sucked at it. It was nice to watch this playthrough since I'll never be able to do it.
No elbow no problem. I didn't know you could make them wake up into the bat. I always thought the bat was an instant death because how low range it is. I wonder why people doing no elbow never pickup the chain whip.
I think the chain just has a shorter hitbox. I actually played this a couple weeks ago, so I'm just going from memory here, but I tried it out a few times and just thought it sucked. You can almost always have a bat whenever the chain is available, so there's just no reason to use it.
Is Advance on your list? A godtier remake of this game IMO, faithful to the original's gameplay (lots of kinda fun kinda annoying footsies with AI) but fixes most of the crap and expands movesets
I'd like to try it out eventually. I watched some videos when I was looking over the series and I thought it looked surprisingly good for a GBA game. Glad to hear they did a good job with it.
