Double Dragon - Sega Mega Drive/Genesis full playthrough 

Back in 1987, Double Dragon made its debut in the arcades, an early side-scrolling beat 'em up. It featured brothers Billy and Jimmy Lee on a violent mission to rescue their girlfriend from the clutches of some evil crime gang, or something. The game pioneered many of the staples that would feature in later fighting games.
As was the fashion at the time, successful arcade games tended to find their way onto computers and consoles. In 1992, it was the Mega Drive's turn to play host to Billy and Jimmy's shenanigans. Or Genesiseses's turn if you're American. Sadly, the conversion to Sega's 16-Bit box of pleasure was dreadful. It was released by Accolade, who had a reputation for not producing much of any quality for the console. Graphics are basic, animation is poor, and gameplay is simplistic, frustrating and sluggish. Characters react slowly to your commands, and you have to rely on exploiting elements of the game, or repetitive joypad manouevres to complete it, rather than actually getting into something that feels like a fight. Music isn't too bad, sound effects are pathetic, and all in all, it's just not a good game.
This is a full playthrough of the game. Unless otherwise stated, I tend to use emulators for playthroughs, and occasionally make use of save states as the main intention is to show games through from start to finish, rather than showing endless deaths and restarts. That said, with this game, despite it's terrible controls, it's not too difficult to complete so very few were actually used.
