This is the final part of the double garage build. In this video we are building the pikes (gable) fitting the roof and doing the gutters. #bricklaying #Joinery #Construction
Hiya, this built in April/May 22 and cost £15k but the owner had the electric front door fitted by a company which would add extra cost! Hope this helps (we did the upvc windows and side doors in the price)
No it’s all same sand from same builders merchant, the mix was a 4 sand x 1 cement! Possibly it was taking time to cure more than other areas. See end result all brickwork has dried uniform!
Great Video Chris, loved watching the garage being built what size was the garage again? Was is the height to the ridge? I'm having a garage built looks similar size. 👍
Hi Trevor, around £16K depending on what type of front up and over garage door or electric roller type, my client paid extra for his acetic one. Hope this helps
Great video, Chris. The soffit piece @ 8:10 - is that just ~5mm cement board cut to size or a specific product? EDIT: Answering my own question. They're undercloak strips, as Maz mentioned below 😄
Thanks for watching the video, they are Fibre Cement Soffit Strips/Undercloaking Board - 1200mm x 150mm x 4mm. You can get them from mist builders merchants
A few trestles and boards would speed up the job no end and be a lot safer, even if it's your own job. I wouldn't put a roof on without scaffolding, just making a rod for your own back !
Love watching this build. Plan on doing my own in spring so this is a big help. Thanks for doing these! How long did it take you 2 to complete (no internal work) in days
@@foundationgood123 thanks Chris. It's class you can pass your skills on and even better its to family. Comparing this to the new-build quality carry on; they are polar opposites. A mastercraftsman 👍
