Thank you for reading all the details in the description! So, the late ear picking is brought to you in part by the main buyer not wanting it over 20%, which back when I started picking back in October, the corn was solidly 25%. Storage and drying of ear corn is in the work, mostly waiting on parts to arrive.
Oh, and the 2+2, it's in the shed waiting for finishing details. You haven't missed anything.

I like how you and your dad you can work with what you got. Not every farmer is rich in their pockets. But most are rich at heart and brains.

Brings back memories. I dragged my dad around a few fields one wet year. He had our Ford 5000 on the New Idea picker, and I was in our Ford 9600 w/duals. Next year, my dad bought a Ford 7700 w/mfwd. Never had to double up again.

There is no waiting for "harvest season" at Boehm Farms. "harvest season" runs year-around. ;-) Love your tenacity to get the harvest out of the fields.

Reminds me of when I was 3 1/2. Case 1 row chopper hooked to Co-op E3 and pulling with Farmall H. I think I told that story once before.

Make sure there is a will. I did the same deal you're doing Dad had a stroke in 2012. Spend all my money and time taking care of my mom and dad. Well dad ended up dead on the table in 2018. Somehow mom, brother and sisters. Sold everything. Even what was in mine and dads name together. My heart is still in my throat. I had three tractors and 30 head sold out from underneath me while I was a work.

Man that sucks... People can really be sh!tty, even the ones you least suspect. We FINALLY finished the friggin' estate from mom passing in May of '20. Only got most of it done by late June last year. Now we gotta pick up the pieces. When I ran it all for my grandmother, well, lets just say she was so tight she squeaked, BUT when push came to shove she WOULD invest back into her own farms and spend money where she really NEEDED to, once you worked long and hard enough at convincing her it WAS necessary. She passed in '06 and Dad got it and he became the new boss. He and mom liked to spend money on everything BUT the farm... he passed 5 years ago... SO basically we're having to start working our way out from under 15 years of neglect... After my brother and I having to split the ground with my sister and buy her out of her third of the equipment and cattle... which could have been worse, actually... but bad enough. She's planning to sell her third of one farm, supposedly keeping her third of this one... time will tell I suppose. Later! OL J R :)

Great video and looking forward to seeing the fruits of your labor in ear corn storage and 2+2 completion. Sine the 1466 is gone I would guess the 2+2 is gonna be the new big horsepower star.

You tube is all I have. As far as social media. Cuz I work. Everyone, even my family hated socialism. But yet they all have instagram and Facebook and order everything from Amazon. I'm an ass cuz I don't have any of that crap. Double standard. They hate socialism but are socialist.
