Three of the world’s top-notch guitarists (Tommy Emmanuel, Stochelo Rosenberg, and Vlatko Stefanovski) performed together at the 2012 International Guitar Art Festival in Belgrade in Serbia. Their sold-out performances were pure magic. This was the beginning of a new guitar trio on the world stage - “Kings of Stings.” Each guitarist are kings of their own different musical genres from world music, gypsy jazz, fingerstyle, and classical music, thus creating a supernatural musical blend that you can only hear on the album, ‘Kings of Strings - Live in Belgrade.’

It's fantastic that you clearly can hear and see the different backgrounds these players have, yet it all comes together in such a harmonious way. And it is seldom you can say this, but I think Tommy actually got out-played here,. But then again this is not his main style either. Saw Tommy last fall. Hope to see Vlatko and Stochelo at some point too.

Hello dear Mr Emmanuel. I am a big fan of you .....for so many years, and it was you ( with 'Angelina') that gave me the desire to restart to play the guitar....thank you. Now, I just saw 2 of your last videos, and I felt I have to be honest ...maybe some do not have the courage to say it. For me each song or music tells a story, with a begining and an end. So when I see you now playing in 'short videos'....I don' know. I just wanted to let you know. Please do not take this as a critic....your guitar playing is still, for me, the best in fingerstyle. Great live performance . Bravo . Big Like.

A terrific demonstration of skill and talent. I don't care for the "tune" - I like stuff I can hum or sing - you know, that has a melody that I can pick out on a keyboard. I'm sure there isn't enough room on a standard sheet of music for all the notes that these three are playing.

If you're used to a $20 wine, a bottle of $50 is a treat. Once used to the $50 bottle, a $100 wine is an eye opener. And so on. You acquire the taste. Eric Clapton is a good supermarket wine, for everyone to enjoy. But over here, on this page, you are in the cellar.

@@bernardv1244 An interesting analogy. In my world, I guess, there are some tastes I will never acquire. In the vocal department, for example, "rap" seems all the rage... I've listened (tasted)... and I seriously doubt I will ever learn to appreciate it. And with wine, I've tasted a $50 wine... and prefer "supermarket" wine. Costlier doesn't always translate to "better" in my experience. Life here in the cellar is not for everyone but it's quiet and safe... and that beats the chaos and uncertainty upstairs anytime in my book.

@@bradejensen I guess it's an acquired taste that I haven't yet begun to like. As I said... if I can't hum it or at least pick out the melody on a keyboard, then it isn't music to my ears. I also don't consider it "music" most of what's played on the airwaves these days. The clanging of over-processed guitars hammering on the same 4 chords ain't my kind of sound. The cuts are interchangeable and not worth a listen even the first time. Many true artists these days are buried under mountains of mediocrity and pure crap.
