Not being highly competetive I left the assualt of the incline to others and just had a full day and evening recording movements around Birmingham.
(Plus a side trip to the WCML to capture 44871 on 'The Cheshireman').
Thankfully the day went well for both loco's so all credit to Vintage Trains and Network Rail for making it happen.
Also, as he couldn't get to see these pair performing live, I'd like to wish Alan Macdonald a very happy 70th birthday for last Wednesday and hope he enjoyed his celebrations today.
