Bro for SURE check out the third song on the ep, Designer Shroud of Turin. Its got rap, salsa, clarinet, slide whistles, its insane. Maybe the most Daoboys song there is. Awesome video though, my favorite band in the world
Designer Shroud of Turin. Best of the 3 songs on this EP, epic ender, and sad you didn’t react to it. Also “Waco”, is a town in Texas, known for the insane religious cult standoff and massacre in 1993 (not pronounced “Wacko”, but “Wake-O” 😂). Also, this band is very much influenced by mathcore, almost impossible to bob your head to, even after multiple listens. I’ve listened to this EP 20 times and I still miss beats. This genre is trying to make you uncomfortable in that sense, give you misdirection the whole time, which doesn’t settle well with most. Your reaction was very positive.
I get that when you're only reference for "odd-ball" metal is EC, that's what you'll compare it too, but the only thing they have in common is that they're both core. This is Mathcore though, which has a very different root than ECs partycore. The whole idea behind math core is to change time signature almost every measure and so try to break with every traditional concept of songstructure. See the Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy or Converge for more Mathcore. But it was neither meant to be as polished nor as accessible as Electric Callboy.
@@DaddyGoose_CB oh HELL yea ok well now i have to drop some recommendations cuz theyre my favorite band of all time so here goes. id probably start w their song milk lizard cuz its a little more on the rock side w ofc that signature dillinger insanity, but id also recommend setting fire to sleeping giants, farewell mona lisa, or maybe when i lost my bet if ur willing to get a little scared on ur first listen lol
Hello. Hum... All sound ok. But the way they switch (so many times) is not ok (for me). Little silence, switch, little silence, switch, ... So the full song is not enough consistent to be in my taste. Nothing crazy but nothing bad in the individuals parts. Some bands are masters to mix different styles, some others try. Maybe they want to mix too many things to be able to get it consistant. It's funny (and real), I've eat in a chineese restaurant this evening, and eat noddles. :D
