Two gorgeous pots from this as I accidentally mixed too much paint for one. These two have silicone in half of each colour of the paint added to the pour. Forgot to add it ;) completed photos are added at the end.
Beautiful work, Kalena! I can't stop looking at it! For the record, when you're pouring, to get a thinner stream, hold cup higher. Love how you pour right on the edge of the pot. Don't need that beauty draining in the pot hole.
Beautiful. Exactly what I'd been looking how to do with old clay pots. Have done pours on canvas, but this is better. Thank you for sharing. Stunning colors - my favorites.
WOW!!! Absolutely gorgeous!!! I couldn’t take my eyes off of the art being made right in front of me. I subscribed. I wish you all the best with all your ART and anything else you do. Thank you very much for for sharing. Have a great day and live a safe and happy life!!!
After watching another of your videos I see why you paint the base....the feet are a great idea, especially if outdoors where the water run off doesn’t matter. Thank you for sharing Kalena.
Suellyn Davis it's always nice to hear when my logic makes sense to other people! I've also had some people buy them simply for upside down decorative pieces. I like them with succulents in them as they don't take over too much in terms of distracting from the pot. I'm pleased you have enjoyed the clip :)
I gave this a try on a 31" x 17" outdoor pot. Came out nice for my first try at pouring. It was a little cool outside 74° so paint was a little thick. Added thinner, silicone and a little water. Wish I could post a pic. Thanks for teaching this method. It was very relaxing to watch and do!!!
Try it! The worst that can happen is that you don't like it and repaint it but I'm sure you will find the process both relaxing and deeply satisfying. All the best, I hope your do try it!
Thanks 🙂 Coffee mugs are a must! There's rarely a time when one is far from me hahaha wish I could find some food safe and heat proof varnish so that I can make me a set 🤨
So cool I tried to do a vase and I think I mixed my paint to thin:( I work with resin but really want to do this to some stuff I have! Your work is beautiful and I love these colors!
