HOLY SHIT! IVE NEVER SEEN A DOUBLE SHINY PATCH ON RU-vid! SHINY DIGGERSBY! I HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THE VIDEO AND THANKS FOR WATCHING! #MAKERADARGREATAGAIN Want to join the stream? come hangout twitch.tv/sirgaryofoaks
Thanks for recording this because I'm not aware of any other footage of a double shiny patch existing. I swear this has happened to me once before chaining at pokemon village but because the patches only shake for a brief moment and I wasn't recording I couldn't be sure I wasn't just seeing things. I believe the chance of a double shiny patch is (5/200)*(4/200) = 200/40,000 = 1/2000. Also, I'd appreciate it if you didn't spread myths around. The only two factors which affect the % chance the chained pokemon is in a particular shaking patch is the shake speed and which zone it is in (ie. how far away it is from the reset point). Thats it. It is completely irrelevant where the other shaking patches in the set are. If a fast shaking patch is in the furthest zone it always has a ~99% chance of containing your pokemon (even if there is another patch shaking right next to it). I've tested all these "unsafe formation rules" thoroughly. Just to clarify your point about edge patches... you were mostly correct, but I'd like to add that exactly FIVE shaking patches are ALWAYS generated every reset. So in order for an edge patch to break your chain, all five shaking patches must spawn on a grassless tile. This is HP4003 btw.
If anyone is interested... I have a document which explains poke radar patch spawn mechanics in X and Y which is useful for understanding how edge patches work. This isn't necessary information to know really but it does help with chaining in some of the more difficult routes (route 10 in particular). link to patch spawn mechanics guide: docs.google.com/document/d/1MK8QSuPMl9oE4PknVMBNlM2y70p-PnlN0Fa3s_qbccA/pub
I would love a shoutout XD In all seriousness major congrats! I never thought something like this was possible. Maybe you're the first on RU-vid to discover it. That's amazing tho.
"The probability of encountering a Shiny Pokémon becomes maximized at a chain length of 40, at approximately 1/200. This is a substantial increase from the usual probability of 1/8192. Since up to four patches of grass appear each time the Poké Radar is used, and each has an independent 1/200 chance, the overall probability of finding at least one Shiny patch for each reset of the Poké Radar is about 1/50. It is possible, although very unlikely, for multiple Shiny patches to appear on one reset. " I was reading this and searched on youtube for two shiny patches :V found this
I keep breaking my croagunk chain I walked into a shaky patch four paces away on 32 encounter and it was illumise I was so mad that’s like my fourth try. I guess it wasn’t the shakiest one
Keep at it. I know the feeling all too well. Itll feel way more rewarding when you finally get it. *Also, the good patch always makes a certain sound. Try using headphones. Best of luck!
@@sirgarytube congrats on the double shiny patch and catching a shiny diggersby the same thing happened to me the difference is it was a shiny sprizee i was hunting for 😃😎
Okay so after you catch the shiny, and were to continue resetting, do you still have the same odds to get another shiny? If that makes sense. I know you could in diamond, pearl, and platinum...? But I'm not sure if you can in XY. I'm very new to radar chaining as well like I've practiced and the furthest I've gotten is a chain of 30 before breaking it. Thanks, i'm just curious...
Nevus Setsuko the chain does continue but your odds reset, however if you do manage another 40 chain then that pokemon now will have 4 perfect IVs instead of just 2. Thats all that im sure of so far.
That leak shaking is extrordinarily unliked :( Not mystical. Not magical. Not even wierd in a magical way. Its just to 3rd rate finding pacakes would be more shortruce. The accessory would be highlight
half of the rules dont matter the only rules are 1. dont start on the dge sometimes doesnt start the chain 2. always go into the shakiest patch of grass unless the patches are bad no matter how many steps away the patch is go for it. 3. dont go to a shaky patch if its touching another really shaky patch
Byron Slowe the persons comment i pinned taught me how to chain. I will make a tutorial soon to teach everyone how i do it and what my dos and donts are
Jaeden Davis i think the more you try one method the luckier you are likley to get for example if im doing horde encounters as much as i radar i might have been lucky enough to get 2 shinies in a horde by now.
Tyler Lee Gaming just luck i guess each one of those patches has a 1/200 chance to be shiny once u reach 40 so i see it being extremely rare but totally possible when u have 5 patches shaking at once
ShinyMari technically yes... however when you are not in the grass the patches of grass that shake are based off wherever u are reseting from. So if those random 5 patches can't find anywhere to shake due to you not being in grass that will break your chain. Best reset locations are in a patch of grass at least 1 step away from the edge
ShinyMari of u need examples on what to do watch some other videos, there are a few rules I always follow. The main one is going to the fast patch always shaking 4 or more patches away. The patches can be touching as long as the one u get into is the right type of grass.... meaning the loud fast patch
SirGaryTube i know the rules...the only thing is that sometimes i can't tell the difference bettween my patch and an other shaking one(that doesnt have the pokemon i am hunting)
ShinyMari it's tough, but there are only like 4 types of grass the phantom patch, a little shake, the medium shake, and the loud shaking grass try to use headphones until u can determine which are the good patches. The good ones have a certain sound. Watch some of the other video with examples of how the should look
