Yes... a thousand times better. It's soooo sexy and sensual. A giant foreplay. While season 1 was so rushed and every intimate scene was so nonchalant or fast. We don't want 30 sec quickies. lol We want them to feel like they're addicted to each other, and this season nailed it.

17:13 Eloise has been unofficially declared 'the Emerald of the season', and I think that suits her better anyhow. All it really makes me wonder is if Daphne is a Diamond and Eloise is an Emerald, which jewel or precious stone would Hyacinth and Francesca be? I think one of them would definitely be a pearl. And if Edwina is a diamond, which kind of jewel do you think Kate is?

The leads had more Chemistry than the damn periodic table! I haven't screamed at my TV in frustration like that in a long time. Had serious withdrawals from this show. I know you gotta make commentary for content etc but try to enjoy it as much as you can in its purity. Cheers!

2 things: your twilight joke almost killed me!!!!!!! and second the duke didn't return not just because they didn't offer him more money but because he wasn't gonna be this season protagonist and he just signed a contract for one season for the same reason (and I would assume get paid as a second character and not the main one). You're gonna love this season please keep watching I love your reactions!!

I would definitely recommend you keep watching. The Viscount Who Loved Me is one of my favorites in the book series and A & K have serious chemistry and fire. There are a lot of changes between the book and the adaptation here, not all of which I’m happy about. But, Jonathan Bailey and Simone Ashley are incredible in their roles and I love the slow burn kindling between them

She could have inherited the house as Lord Featherington's widow, as widows and single women could own property, so I assume the property was entailed to the male line (as is the case in Pride and Prejudice). A married woman's property became her husband's at marriage (some dowries were bestowed on the wife for her use as some protection in marriage) until the Married Women's Property Act, which is decades away. See also the Caroline Norton case.

The reason why the Duke of hastings was offered such an amount was because he was not the main character in season 2 and they did not want him to take attention off Anthony. The series is based off the books and even in the books the Duke was hardly there

Yes, he would have had a very small part like Daphne or smaller. He might have played pall mall as he did in the book.

@@MoviesinDepth yeah. Each book focuses on the romance of a different Bridgerton sibling. After the first book, the Duke of Hastings hardly even figures into the stories, really. Why pay a fortune to bring back a character that has basically nothing to say? LOL

Though they've changed quite a bit around from the books. They are already bringing around characters that aren't seen in a few books yet. But it's true, the duke wasn't nearly as important in the second book, so his absence hasn't seemed to have as much an affect.

This season is way better than season 1. Kate & Anthony has real chemistry & frankly speaking, I didn't give a f@ck that Duke was not present. Even in the books, Duke was hardly in Book 2. In fact, Anthony is more important than Duke in Bridgerton series as he is the head of the family & you will see him in every book. I loved Kanthony. I hope you will enjoy this season
