league players always give me the “dota is dead” like bitch? i know that, i know that dota is dying better than any gaming community. i know that valve is just using dota to gain money without giving a damn to the community. that doesn’t change the fact dota is superior, people just choose an easier game like LoL. and there’s nothing wrong at all, but it is wrong for them to come and brag at me on how good their game is. when it’s all just about their good marketing

I have less problems with the DotA/League comparison when Legaue players just say "it's the turn rate and cast points". Like ok dude, you like faster and more responsive game. That's fine. Im in East Canada and play with my friends in JP servers i barely feel any lag. Lol

Im Russia server mainly, but I can play with SEA and Europe too since it's close. At Russia I'm at as low as 1 ping, at Europe I'm at 30+ Ping, at SEA I'm at 80 Ping and at US West I'm at 110+ Ping. All are playable. I'm not a fancy guy that likes to play on negative ping or 10000FPS. If I were to ask ping wise of course Russia is better. But Europe and SEA in terms of players and feel. I play at SEA nowadays most of the time. There are more than 10 regions, not all of them are playable but you have some alternatives from where you are from. For Example In Australia Dota is pretty much Dead so Australian Dota players switches to SEA so they can find games quicker.

I disagree. Dota is slow paced and chill. League is always on the edge. I actually mained jungle in league which made the transition to dota easier as the role requires more macro play than micro. Just 8 hours of gameplay and I'm outperforming my teammates with a long history in the game lol

Nah, I've never seen a dota player dodge an ability using only a movement input. The graphics are better in a sense but if you're the one watching it its not really better. Dota stans always boast about their Prize Pool when top league player has so much income streams that it evens out despite having modest tournament prizes. Dota fails to advertise due to how elitist the community is, The same thing happened with Wild rift.

It is not about him, it is about new players. If you have experience,you can adjust easily to Dota. If no experience at all, you will be stomped on how hard Dota is. He is stating that that is the reason why there are more league players than Dota players.

As league player I don’t know where to start with Dota 2 I don’t feel dumb but I do feel overwhelmed and I know i will look dumb until I can grasp what’s actually happening in dota games I’ve been trying to get into dota 2 because it does feel different than league in a good way

To counter engage: Blink dagger if you have the the reflexes and BKB tp if the enemy team doesn't have any basher, it's actually way easier to scape alive at Dota, I almost forgot about Eul's scepter and magic sticker, as Mirana player, those items can save you from a lot of bad situations.

That's not because of the slow mechanism of dota 2, it's because of the characteristics of the hero in dota 2. Remember your trun rated changes when you buy specific items like boots and other items.

SF ulit can melt you, Tiny with a blink dagger with either damage item or dagon can easily kill a support in 2 seconds, I even have unconventional build of Tusk that have divine and daedalus that can 1 hit carry or support. It depends how you dominate the game

When sf is killing you with combo, you get anything that instantly moves you like force staff or you get some magic resist or you just not walk alone on possibly warded spots. You can counter ANYTHING with proper items and/or hero picks.

I always felt supporting in Dota was way more impactful than in LoL, and I'm an Immortal support Dota player and a Diamond 2 support LoL player (although only play Dota now). There is a lot more things to do as a support in Dota compared to LoL, and your spells remain impactful throughout the game regardless of your farm.

surprised you feel more impactful in league than in dota, i play both games everyday and have well over 500 hours on both, i can confidently say, in league you’re just a mage or tank that can’t take farm which is the “support” but in dota, you’re stacking camps, pulling camps, constantly roaming with TP scroll, getting bounty runes, high ground vision control, all while setting up kills for your carry. league is taking 85% of that away and just focusing on vision and setting up a kill for your laner

DOTA is for boomers who don’t have the reaction time to play league

Some people are looking to games simply to have an enjoyable time. League is a more enjoyable experience on average compared to Dota. You can't and shouldn't expect people to invest the amount of time required to learn how to properly play an arguably over complex... game. This isn't grasping a complex mathmatical formula, blueprint, or metaphysical concept... it's a video game, a form of entertainment most look towards for respite from life and an ounce of fun. I'm glad a lot of people like Dota, but it's doomed to be niche in comparison to its competitors.

if i played dota when i was younger id like it more probably, i just dont have the willingness to stuff my mouth full of shit for 200 hours like i used to. im not old, but im to the point where id rather just, get bored, jump to one of the other 5 games i play, repeat. i try to play dota twice a year, get stomped in beginner matches as a diamond player, or sit in 20 min queue, then quit.

@@hyui5096 lol has almost 0 active items, every hero oneshots you, every hero constantly blinks, dodges, disappears. Mages for some reason deal AP dmg to towers with their auto attack, there is no runes in the game, jungle sucks, no tutorial, no interactions with spells of other heroes

Cuz 98% of league skills are skill shots, most of the skills can be animation cancelled and every champion nowadays has more than 3 dashes, a good lucian can make his dash 0 seconds of CD for as long as he can keep animation cancelling his autos. A single shit hits you, and youre dead in 0,001 seconds and etc. Also champions in league usually have a more mechanically intense kits which much more options. A game having more buttons dont make it actually harder, keyboard efficiency and smart keybinds disposition make it trivial, you wont be pressing ALL the buttons at the same time or activate 6 itens instantly midfight. You do It when its necessary. Stop using invoker as an example for "look How hard dota is", invoker is a unique character by its own. Meepo too, Chen and beast master are much harder than Meepo in EVERY aspect anyway. As i Said league punishes your mistakes much, much harder than Dota. One mistep and you 3000 health pool goes to zero in a Blink. One mistakes in lane and you get Frozen and theres nothinh you can do. You talk about Aggro in dota as If in league manipulating minion Aggro wasnt important too. In dota If you screw your Lane equilibrium you can Just go for a pull or give up the Minions and go Farm the jungle. In league If you screw up your Lane and the enemy freezes, enjoy being 60 CS behind the whole game :)

At the highest level: mechanically : LoL players, faster paced game , more abilities to aim ,and dodge . strategically and decision making wise: dota players.

yasuo isn't a hard champ. Irelia, qiyana, gragas combos are hard to pull off. Yasuo's hardest combo is like e q flash with the circle knock up then r. Irelia for example you can minion q auto q for short trades, you can e minion q auto e q q back q in auto for an extended trade. High apm arthritis champ, only character in the game i get stomped on when i try to play it.

Theres karthus and thats it, but thats one champion and theres 10 bans in every game. nothing in the game is oneshotting anyone with no counterplay before 20 minutes without 25 mejai stacks and a 3 item lead. Idk if the oneshot from 3 years away thing is even true in dota im just saying i know you cant oneshot people from screens away in league without extreme conditions. You can one shot people with no counterplay with invisibility or running through 17 walls at the speed of light and go invulnerable after though but theres workarounds like building zhonyas, itemizing armor, going resolve boneplating second or uninstalling the game.

League player here, also seeing the same fucking comps: -Gnar/Aatrox/Gragas. Top -Sejuani/Viego/Maokai. Jg -Sylas/Akali/Azir. Mid -Varus/Lucian/MF. Adc -Nami/Amumu/Renata. Supp Every single match is so boring, and not to mention this year's Yuumi 95% pick/ban rate and 100% win rate. A lot of matches this year were decided on draft, a competitive game shouldn't be like that.
