This is so sad. I grow up in chinese family. My parents NEVER said a single nice word about me in my memory, everytime they open their mouth, it is to criticize and yell at me for doing something wrong. I skipped a grade in high school, graduated from ucla, making decent money, yet my parents think im the most unsuccessful person theyve ever known, they have a million bad words to say to me, but never a single nice word. This is really suffocating.

Thanks for re-uploading this. I come back to this video from time to time because I can relate so much with Doublelift when he says Asian Culture is so different. It's true that your parents are really hard on you when you're a 1st generation Asian American because they had it hard too. I'd hear stories from my parents journey on becoming American citizens and the amount of work they put in to staying afloat when they had it rough. So thanks, I'll probably download this in case it gets taken down again but this video just means a lot to me.
