Glad to see you're back on your feet! I was thinking about asking about the M&Ms but I see you're one step ahead of me and admitted defeat :D What training plan are using again? Also what are your thoughts on doing the 80/20 method with 80% of your training being in HR Zone 2? Don't be discouraged by your long run. They are not meant to be at race pace or serve as a race success indicator. Even if you took 6 hours for the 24km you would have still trained your body to endure activity aka "time on your feet" for 6 hours which still has a big impact on your training. I believe you can do this!!
Thanks so much 😊 the training plan is on an app called Runna. I read on Reddit and from a few friends that it was a good plan so I decided to pay for the subscription and overall I like it. 80/20 was actually what I wanted to do my runs in during this program but I think I just got too much into my head during this training block about speed and wanting to finish faster rather than realizing that I should focus on the long game and running 80/20. So it’s definitely something I’d like to try again in the future if I do another marathon or half marathon 😎
