This video is a gold mine for licks, unfortunately, the tab only covers this essential ones. There are really interesting variations with added notes for instance. Anyway thank you for the lesson.
hey doug, thanks for the. Lessons. If i might make a suggestion that would help me a lot and probably a lot of other students- if you could demonstrate fast, then slow it WAY down and also talk about the picking directions. Slowed down for YOU is still hard to tell what exactly your picking hand is doing. Without that, its hard to get the hang of how to speed it up. Thanks again!
yeah he is a half step down, some players do that for the less tension on the strings and they use a higher gauge like 10s because it makes them feel like 9s with being down half a step. if you play with 9s or 10s and drop a half step id suggest setting it up for that so the tension and string height is to your liking. it wont damage the guitar but over a long term can change the neck curve. that's just my 2 cents tho :D rock on
Thanks for the reply! I noticed on one of the Dio dvds that Doug was tuned down a half step as well...I know because I could no longer jam to the songs I thought I knew from the original recordings! BTW...I use 10-46s on a Les Paul and switch back and forth between standard and e-flat tuning. The only thing I notice is the G-string goes out of tune very quickly!
Que posibilidad existe que puede haber subtitulos en español? Estoy muy interesado en aprender, pero no entiendo. Gracias. That possibility exists that there may be subtitles in Spanish? I am very interested in learning, but do not understand. Thank you.
@@dndeeno it makes sense ..tuning half step down its not necessary and if you want it slower you can do it from you tube settings ..if you are a kid that now learning the basics there is no way you can play this stuff
