I never really gave doug much thought until i saw him on "That Metal Show" and he is just such a wonderful human being, i really started listening...his phrasing is SOOOOOO amazing!!! Im a HUGE Doug fan now...

I have had Doug’s Suhr bridge pickup in most of my guitars for maybe 12 years if so when I 1st seen him play with whitesnake d Suhr std out with the DSH+ in with the Aldridge same with my PRS artist and just now into my Shijie strat ( with s ML in the neck and a Dimazio in the middle . Never regretted it for one second . I asked John Suhr why he chose the thorn bucker fir the Aura and he explained that was lower gain vintage . If I am ever wealthy enough to get one . Mine will have a Aldridge in it . It’s similar to the JB but it just feels that big tighter

Everytime Doug shows up on my phone I'm gonna talk about Him:Doug is a great guitar player,he can play anybody's music note for note,he played on Dio's old songs excellent, but when it came to vinyl, he wasn't good,when he did Whitesnake it wasn't good,He's never been a good songwriting guitarist,He can't write songs,he can play riffs,and whatever but he's not a songwriting guitarist,You better have a good songwriting Rhythm guitarist if your gonna release a album with him,But he's more of a band cover guitarist,I love this guy,but that's the way I feel,he's done a lot in music,glad he didn't join Ozzy,that would've been a disaster😢😢😢😢😢😢

I also routed out my deluxe for standard Hum buckers 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ It was my first LP, ‘83, and I didn’t know it came with “mini” hum buckers. Should have left it alone! 🤦🏻‍♂️ But I do have a set of Aldridge HB’s to go it it. Can’t undo what I did as a youngin, but can at least make it sound better lol
