Doug Langdale won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for an Animated Program - Maya and the Three: Season 1.

Love this video! I SO wish I could get my hands on some of their scripts back then - I’m a young animation writer and to this very day Weekenders inspires all of my work!

This show was the most realistic Disney cartoon ever. The characters and their relationships are very well built, the characters always has a different set of clothes on many episodes and most of all, they're all together having a good time while ABC is airing College Football. I'm planning to get the DVD release for Christmas so I can enjoy a cartoon that KNOWS our society, the society that late 90s and early 2000s kids grew up with.

I'm rewatching the entire show almost every summer. On the weekends of course :)

You are a legend man. The writing in the show was very clever. Hope you get to make another show.

One of my favorite Disney television animation show

Hey Doug. I wanna thank you for creating the show. I started watching the show whe I was only 7 years old. I’m 27 about to graduate college now and it’s still one of my favourites. I’m hoping you can get the whole show on iTunes since Disney + is taking they sweet time! Would you ever reboot it? Just bringing Bahia Bay and the kids into 2020 and beyond?

You even reached Germany! Since my hometown is mentioned in a joke in the German dub many here know and love the show. Me included! Love!

I just had a funny thought, if Disney ever did renew “Dave the Barbarian” (which they probably never will), do you think you would ever plan a crossover between that show and “The Weekenders”?

Heya Mr. Langdale! I have a question, do you think Disney would ever think about re-releasing the entire series on DVD since they're putting it up on Disney+? I'd absolutely adore to have it, I've been building a collection of nostalgic movies and TV shows that I can watch whenever I want, recreating Saturday mornings from when I was a kid, and the Weekenders is pretty much at the top of that list of perfect cartoons to reminisce about summer to!
