There's many who blame it on their older kids, who some do end up believing they are. Or don't bring them in knowing they'll get in trouble and the kid has a injury for life or dies. This mother and her gf abused her kids so badly and one toddler died with multiple broken bones and other stuff. They had the older kids think it was their fault. Police knew such lil kids couldn't and separated and questioned stories sketchy until after couple days kids less scared of them and being in good hands told the horrible abuse they all got. They found on their computer they had been searching on google if lesbian couples can go to the same prison together... And stuff like can a kid survive broken ribs and other stuff. So all was before the kid died so always thought of themselves even when they knew he could die and where i imagine days before they knew he was. What's worse is daycares reported the kid couple times for bruises and stuff worried he might be but some technology plus human error he was never looked into. Where they would've made a house visit and see how the meek kids were, their bare rooms were and their relationships and interactions with the mom and gf was off. There was just a case solved of a lil kid. Older siblings said parents were abusive, a bad night and never saw him again. Was told he went to live with another family member. Growing up they couldn't see or get a clear story, as adults and suspicious of their parents finally went to cops. Investigation and questioned, I assume being on edge, jumpy and shit they give a story of X having them for a lil, well X is contacted and says they never did. Yeah they got them talking after caught in a lie, the parents i think dad killed the kid and mom helped him hide their body and cover up story. Was like over 20 or so years ago. I think there's many more stories like this especially in the past with the laws and rights

As a kid, I had a lot of trips to the hospital with staff asking questions about my injuries. I constantly had injuries. As a kid, these questions were a pain in my arse. I wasn't much of a talker and answering all of these questions frustrated me. As an adult, I'm very reassured there were people asking questions when they saw a frequent flier kid in the A&E. For the record, my parents weren't hurting me. As a little girl, I loved to go fast. I REALLY loved to go fast. And I was short on having some sort of sense of self-preservation. I disconnected my brakes on my bike, put on roller skates and went to the steepest road and went down to see how much speed I could pick up without stopping. In my teens, I took up rally racing. My parents honestly tried but if you turned your back to go to the toilet, there was a good chance I could get into serious trouble. For every crazy kid like me, there's probably a lot more kids who are being abused. Be aware that the crazy kid like me does exist. The best way to spot me would have been asking if I like to make things go faster. My poor parents were innocent. 😆

That's inaccurate. Feelings have no place in the legal system, and since it would be a fact that the person did not physically or otherwise attempt to harm the person who attacked them directly in any way, (whether you feel they deserved it or not), that by definition is assault. Since there would likely be cameras to prove that, there is no way they wouldn't be charged without the child abuser having a huge and valid lawsuit against the hospital, and a huge backlash on those working within the legal system for not upholding the laws as they are written. i did do something similar to this. i was visiting my GF at the time, she shared a place with a female friend who had 2 kids. the younger of the kids, he climbed up a cupboard, and it came crashing down, he wasnt hurt, but he was terrified. now in my books, thats punishment enough, he wasnt gonna do it again. but his mother started screaming in his face, calling him a little c**t amongst other things, im a survivor of child abuse myself, and i have really bad PTSD, so i had flashbacks. i snapped out of it in time to see her raise a hand about to hit the poor kid, closed fist. thats when stepped in, grabbed her wrist and told her if she hit him, i would call the cops and the department of child safety. ended up doing it anyways, cost me the GF as well because i refused to let the matter go, even though she begged me. i broke it off cos i refuse to be with someone who would even consider turning a blind eye to child abuse.

Never had to deal with any abusive parents while I was working as a PCT in the ER, but we did deal with quite a few reckless drivers and their victims. The pleasure wasn't in the hospital staff going off on them, but in the police chewing them up and spitting them out before arresting them.

I’m not ashamed to say I was cheering for Doug when he started that power walk to beat the POS up. And I liked how he confirmed it was the right shoe before punching him too. Dudes unpredictable and a loose cannon normally, but when it came to kids, he always looked out for them. Also, I kind of like how Malik didn’t run to stop Doug. He walked fast but not fast enough to catch up with him. He probably wanted Doug to hit the guy a couple times before prying him off.

Doc was on his way to tell the father that his wife was in a coma and the two children , 4 & 7 had died. he realized the drunk was in another bay, with fairly minor injuries and griping about where his pain meds were. that was 8 or 9 years ago and I bet the twat STILL hasn't gotten so much as an aspirin.

People who abuse children were almost always abused when they were young. Violence against the weak and helpless is learned -- taught by violent parents or primary caregivers who are incapable of controlling their own misplaced rages. Teaching adults not to take out their frustrations on those who can't defend themselves is one of the most difficult jobs a therapist has. The majority of violent abusers -- those who put women and children in the hospital or morgue -- are men who refuse to admit what they did was wrong and resist getting help.
