dougals best set ever for the duration of his career, his layering of tracks to drop at the right time and work with the content of the previous tracks are sublime... I noticed with alot of DJs they got lazy and just merged one track into the next without much consideration to how they sound together, especially from 4 beat into happy hardcore genres

My youth.. Had this on some battered tdk back in the day after my mate found the pack in someone's bin!! Still love the set! At 45 years old now... Good old days
"With a booda-bye-bye, booda-bye-bye, booda-bye-bye, booda-bye-bye, booda-bye-bye-bye. Sounds of the Dougal taking you so high. Right up to the Sky........We're gonna fly!". Mixing ain't great but fook me the tracks are some of the best hardcore tracks I remember and Conrad on the mic is unstoppable. "Bang to the rhythm" was my favorite track of this era....fucking mental.
This was an awesome event, great night great music but like being in a tin box in the middle of the desert so so hot ,and bottles of water at £5 a pop. Tickets were only £15
One of my all time favourite sets! Such a shame the whole set wasn’t given its own tape as the missing 20 minutes was just as good as the rest, from memory.
I have even sent an email to Paul (DJ Dougal) asking how the set ended and what he played. He never came back to me :) Must have been fucking epic! Wish I knew what the tunes were!
@@JamesBrewerDJ I hear you brother - so annoying the whole set wasn’t released, even though it would have been recorded in its entirety on the DATs. There are a few other Dougal sets online from 1993, but the closest to this in terms of date are Fantazia 2nd Birthday (April) and Psychosis Timeslip (June).
I had other Tapes obviously but this is the first I actually bought with my own pocket money from the market at Flitwick when I was 15. So many emotions listening to this now, cant wait to go through the whole tape pack.
DJ Paul Estak - Life Is Like A Dance Andy Moor & Above & Beyond - One Awake Kevin Energy - Binary Sharkey - Over Drive A.M.S - Logan BK - Hands Up BK - I Need Love Sy - Words (Tekno Dred Remix) Speed Lab - Connected Suspicious - Love Wave (Marsha Remix) Raver Choice - Nutty House Crew SMD - 22 ESP - ESP Album DJ Dean - Is A Dream Two's Company - Dream Seph - Never Apart DJ Kaos - Getting Again
gotta love ge real at the start of this set banging out a remix of Euromasters - Alars Naar De Kloote (or however it's spelt...it has the yellow record inset when you search for it on here)
You my friend are a flipping saint i don't know how you know the name of this track but i remember getting this tape pack when it came out a week after the rave and that tune blowing my mind at the end of G E Reals set 25+ yrs fast forward and i finally find the track and now the name ..thanks man😇😇
@@a.d.the.4mvla43 it's the Dreamcape 6 set and, if you look on here, it'll have a recording within which, there will be a tracklist...that's how I managed to track it down after being in a similar situation for years myself 😅 Another cracking set to look for is the DJ Dave Angel set from the same gig (Dreamscape 6)...it seems distinctly different to any of the other sets about in that time (arguably) featuring a style of Techno Trance that has been skipped over in the years following. Edit: D'oh! you're on a Chanel with the Dougle set already...oops 😅
@@weedfreer haha cool bro a tracklist from sets of that era is defo a rare thing ...A great set for you i keeep going back to is Ratty from The Edge Experience with Mad P Mcing i'll find the link coz the set is unreal like nothing ive really heard too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C103sNzTE8I.html
